My granddaughter is in Grade 6 and has been struggling with Math since Grade 4. Her teachers were not recognizing her struggles and simply passed her from one grade to the next. Six months ago, we started with Sylvan. They did an analysis on her current level and found it to be at Grade 3, which was consistent with what we thought.
She goes to Sylvan once a week and in the last 6 months has progressed immensely. She is gaining confidence and we see a huge improvement.
While it will take some time to get to Grade 6 level, she is certainly on that path and it gives us a lot of optimism.
We’ve had a great experience with Sylvan Longview! My daughter went up 2-3 grade levels in reading/writing in a short time! Mrs. Marla is always so helpful and encouraging!

The Academy has been great and the the teachers are so patient and kind. My son has made great improvements with his reading and writing and he looks forward to his sessions every week. They have made it fun for him and he is no longer struggling.
Sylvan has been very easy to work with! They have increased my daughter's 's math grades from a 76 to a 96. They've been able to fill in all the holes that she had in her math skills.
Sylvan has been an incredible experience for our daughter. She started in October 2025 reading at a 2nd grade level, and by March 2026 she had progressed to a 5th grade reading level. We were amazed by how quickly her confidence and skills improved.

I have had an amazing experience with Sylvan in Greensboro. The staff are friendly, welcoming, patient, and easy to communicate with. My son enjoys going to tutoring and doesn’t complain they like with other tutors. There are clear improvements in his reading skills which brought us to their location in the first place. 🥇
