This was a huge factor for me as I have had others clean my carpets with other cleaners and they zipped through which left stripes clearly showing where it was cleaned and not cleaned. I picked zerorez mainly because I didn't want residual surfactants on my carpet fibers, but I was also interested in the shorter drying time advertised. I suppose the standard carpet cleaner could accomplish a similar effect low-residue clean with detergent-based products, but this would require using a lot more water to completely rinse those out.
