Quality of teachers is not strong. Many lack structure and organization, and often I see some getting frustrated with the children which comes out in an aggressive tone or physically, which is quite concerning. Many teachers lack passion and genuine love for the children and it’s clear that this “just a job.” In certain classes they do a poor job is staying on top of the app, we often do not know where our children are and do not get many updates and barely any photos. My children have also received many unhealthy snacks (which are not on the school snack list) despite me complaining about it to the teachers and front desk, and in another class my baby has received outside food and parents are never notified. The front desk could do a better job of regularly observing each classroom (when they’re not aware) so that they can coach, as there’s many areas that need improvement. Also there’s often no one at the front desk to an answer the phones when I’ve called, which is a huge issue god forbid there was an emergency. With there being 3 admins, at least 1 should always be in the office, especially because they’re the eyes on the front door (and many people do not scan their faces and tailgate).
We love everything that Lightbridge offers.
The teachers are amazing. My baby is always excited and ready to play when I drop her off
1. An adult not on the allowed pick up form was allowed to pick up my child. No changes were made in security and subsequently about a year later a parent took the wrong child home. There are not sufficient check in and check out security measures in place for child safety. To this day, I still see parents holding the doors open for others and people walking in without scanning their face or being checked in appropriately. Anyone could walk into this building which is frankly terrifying.
2. Despite numerous complaints to teachers my child is repeatedly given things from the “prize box” that are choking hazards (ie: gummy candy, small hard candy, mini slinky’s, mini stamps, mini clips, small beaded jewelry, all chocking hazards for a 2-3 year old)
3. The facility does not take accountability and these things continue to occur
4. Teacher turnover is too high. Whenever my child is picked up the teacher in the late afternoon shift cannot inform me how my child was that day because they were not there all day.
5. I’ve seen some teachers and aids lack patience with children, something that is crucial in this setting.
6. For these reasons my child will soon be transferring facilities
I just wanted to once again express my sincere gratitude for Miss Meghan. As Erin's time in purple cats has come to an end, we have nothing but positive things to say about Miss Meghan and how she runs her room. She greets Erin each morning with an enthusiastic "good morning" and a hug. On the tough mornings, she is always there offering up some of Erin's favorites as distractions "Elmo song, dolls, dancing, etc". I know Erin has a difficult time with transition, and change is hard for everyone, but Miss Meghan's approach has helped Erin grow and learn tremendously over the past 6 months. My husband and I are amazed how Erin is able to count, say the alphabet, speak in full sentences, identify colors, and do some of Miss Meghan's yoga moves. She absolutely loves her! We can only hope that Erin continues to thrive in the next classroom, knowing full well that Miss Meghan goes above and beyond for her "purple cats".
Overall, the teachers that my children have had have been great and loved my kids.
Each teacher forms a unique connection to your kiddo. They aren't just a number, but another member of their family.
Friends
i love how the kids are actually learning my son started as a backup care kid and when he transitioned into a full time student i saw his communication skills explode. He was actually diagnosed with a communication delay and after being in the program for 5 months he talks in 3 word sentences and can even count to 10 in spanish. Everyone is super professional and the children are treated like family. The front office girls are also amazing everyone gets a greeting hello and they are always so accommodating with special requests and making the program work for your family. I love this place and now have two kids enrolled full time and would recommend to anyone in the area looking for child care
I previously filled out a satisfaction survey indicating that I would like to speak with someone at the company about my experience and never received a response, so I’m completing this a second time in hopes that someone will reach out to me.
Friendly, warm and caring caretakers/teachers.
Accommodating hours, attentive teachers
I love how to classroom changes with its set up, keeping it different for the kids. I love the different themed weeks and including that into the curriculum. This past week in particular has been one of my favorites yet. I think the teachers together are an absolute dream team and can just see a difference in my child.
Very profesional and lovely.
Love teachers, how flexible staff are, how much information my kid learn
The teachers are great and are always doing an engaging/educational activity to with the kids
Teacher engagement and a steady curriculum. I know my kids are entertained in an appropriate manner while they are at LightBridge and that is the best part!!
The cameras are not working majority of the time which makes it difficult to watch our child
Commitment to safety, kids are taken care of diapers changed and logged, consistency with staff and very low turnover
We love how they always keep the kids busy! The lessons are immersive and highly educational. Our sons language has expanded so much and his understanding of real life complex scenarios is amazing.
During the transition from one class to the next class, the teachers need to be patient, helpful, and attentive. It should be the new classroom teachers’ duty to make the baby feel comfortable by providing little extra attention and comfort. Recently I found that part was missing.
There has been a lot of turnover in my child’s classroom and communication is very limited. Messages rarely get a response. There is never any photos uploaded to the app.

Curriculum and dedication of teachers
The teachers! There are some great, caring, patient teachers at Lightbridge. They truly do care, and it’s apparent. Thank you all!
The teachers are so kind and actually get to know each child as an individual. They know my sons likes and dislike, they know his personality and pick up on when he needs a little extra attention or when he’s doing great they give him the confidence to keep going. The administration staff is on top of any and everything. Any time I have a question it’s answered the same day. They know every single child and their parents by name. They keep track of everything and make our experience seamless. The security, cleanliness, and organization is top tier. I really do love the individual care and how happy my children are to attend LightBridge.
Everything!
Our family is so grateful for the incredible team at Lightbridge Academy in Holly Springs. The admin team works tirelessly to make sure kids are safe, healthy, learning and thriving; parents are well-informed and welcomed; and staff are acknowledged and appreciated. In the rare moments when we have a question or concern, we know without hesitation that we can reach out to Jen and Sara for an answer or to figure out a solution together. They respond with kindness, empathy, and a commitment to doing what's best for the kids in their care - always putting us at ease and reminding us why LBA is such a special place for families. We're also grateful for Dawn and Amy who play key roles in keeping things running smoothly and supporting learning for students - and who are always a warm and welcoming presence whether passing in the hallway or covering in a classroom.
We've also had the most wonderful experience with teachers and support staff at LBA. As with any child care center, there are periods of turnover. During those times of transition, we've watched the admin team successfully recruit and promote phenomenal new teachers that are a gift to these kids. From the infant rooms to Gray Elephants and now Orange Giraffes, we've had the joy and pleasure of watching our little one learn and grow in leaps and bounds thanks to the engagement and support of her teachers. We know without a doubt that our babies have been safe and secure and well-cared for in infants. We have to shout out Ms. Melissa, who has been our baby whisperer extraordinaire twice over. She pours her whole heart into caring for kids and is so skilled at building trust with parents. Especially for first time parents, she is an amazing source of comfort and a wealth of knowledge and experience. The transition from mobile infants to the 1's room is a hard one, but Ms. Jada and Ms. Tia made it so much easier and brought the absolute best energy and love into that room. We've also been blessed to have the unbelievably dynamic duo of Ms. Prisha and Ms. Jeanine in Orange Giraffes. Words cannot describe what a gift they are for 2's and their families. They show up with joy for their kids; provide much needed structure and consistency; promote learning through fun and engaging activities every single day; and communicate effortlessly with parents.
LBA was our top pick when we were expecting our first child, and we were overjoyed when we first found out they had a spot for us. We remain endlessly grateful for the team, the technology that allows parents to engage and stay connected throughout the day, and the physical space and resources which are safe clean, well-kept, well-structured, warm and welcoming. We truly can't imagine our kids anywhere else.
The interactive learning. My daughter is only 2 and recites the entire alphabet and can count to 15
