We really enjoy the curriculum and activities that the program has. Our children have learned SO much and we really are amazed at everything they are learning and have learned. The classrooms that they are in right now are our favorites. Our children do very well with routine and structure and are thriving in their classes. They have both "grown up" at Lightbridge and every time they need to move up a class it is very bittersweet because of the relationships we have built with their teachers and the staff.
The teaching staff
Everyone at the center really tried their best (teachers and admin), but feel overall under supported. The teachers had a list of things that my son needed that is different from the handbook (a bib, a plate with a suction cups). I got less than 24 hours notice about a parent engagement day. One of the most basic tasks is downloading a billing statement for my FSA account reimbursement and I haven’t been able to do that. The messaging platform is slow to load and I get so many double notices. My son is supposed to go three days a week, and started in Oct and his first full week was in January because he would go on Monday, get sick by Wednesday morning and not be able to attend Wed or Thursday. He got HFM, Flu, Norovirus, RSV, multiple colds with fever and rash. I understand kids get sick, but I have many in my network whose kids started other daycares at the same time as mine, and I was out with a sick baby 4x more than the second sickest baby. I think the center / toys could be more rigorously cleaned.
I am also asked to provide a doctors note every time he misses school that he has been cleared to return. I understand this is meant to protect other student, but my doctor has a $25 fee to prepare letters and I (not joke) visited the doctor every week from Oct through Christmas and had over $200 in letter fees (which aren’t covered my insurance or fsa reimbursement). And clearly this policy isn’t helping sickness stay out of the center…. I feel like it leads parents to lie about why the student is absent when their kids are sick to avoid needing to get a doctor’s note. I agree something’s like HFM need to be cleared my a doctor, but does every mild fever or cold?
But mostly, my son hates it. I get videos and he is having a hard time adjusting. He seems to be in a more structure learning environment than he is ready for, and the center isn’t set up to adapt to him.
At the recent parent day, there was some fake snow (very fun!) as a sensory activity, but the teachers kept saying “snow is cold” which was confusing bc this snow is not cold. It is a fine place, my son is safe and cared for, but it doesn’t exceed my basic expectations on any front.
The balance between learning and play keeps my child entertained and engaged. He’s learning something new everyday and it’s truly because of Lightbridge. My older son went through Lightbridge too and by the time he went to kindergarten he was more than ready and entered ahead of his peers as a result.
Lightbridge is a warm, welcoming environment. Everyone meets children where they are at and supports their growth with care. Our son is loving his “new school.”
Structured and predictable routines and the feature to watch my kid live from work. The staff are very hardworking and pleasant. I was anxious to send my toddler initially , but he enjoyed going lightbridge very quickly!

Too much staff changes
We love Ms Nila and Ms Kaitlyn and Lightbridge!
Overall the place is good. What is disheartening is seeing some of the great staff and teachers who clearly have a passion for kids, leave. There are still some great people there but there are also times where it feels like there is a lack of enthusiasm/passion and genuine love for the kids. It’s also difficult with the staff schedules and the changing of teachers and rooms everyday that makes it hard to get a good idea of how my child is doing. I can ask the teacher who is there in the morning but in the evening it’s someone else entirely who hasn’t spent much time with them and can’t give any helpful feedback on what’s going on.
The care and love that my child gets from the whole team
The teachers have been so amazing and welcoming. My child’s letter recognition has increased exponentially in just a matter of a couple months. The children are constantly engaged in learning activities and creative play.
My son is well cared for and developing so fast thanks to the wonderful teachers in the infant/mobile infant rooms.
I love The schedule, teachers, security and curriculum.
The program is great but very expensive.
The amazing staff treat your children like family.
Ms. Dana does an amazing job with the Mobile Infant children, and my daughter adores her and Ms. Pam.
Ms. Heather and her team do a great job with their toddlers. My son loves to come to school and talks about Ms. Heather all the time.
I wouldn't want my children anywhere else; we love the teachers here! :)
Organized, clean, helpful staff
Flexibility and carw
Lightbridge is an amazing school it’s just too expensive
My son's teacher is the most loving, attentive, caring, and wonderful teacher that I could ever ask for. The office staff takes care of my kids and my family - and I feel like Lightbridge has given me the gift of a caring community as I raise my kids. I am deeply grateful!
Would not recommend to anyone anymore for a few reasons. What remains consistent through out the 2.5 years is the communication with the morning and afternoon shift. When our family brings up a concern or a mention for my child’s care 90% of the time the teachers say “that was the earlier shift I don’t know anything about xyz”. It doesn’t feel promising when my child’s care is heard and then met with a response like that. The impression from those interactions feels careless.
The second thing is the WiFi being inconsistent, I wouldn’t recommend parents to enroll without the camera feature because the Lightbridge app isn’t updated consistently and delayed due to the WiFi being inconsistent.
Lastly, for the “flu/cold season” this year some weeks they want us to take our children’s clothing for deep cleaning/sanitation to over the weekend, other weekends the teachers don’t mind the clothing to stay over the weekend.
Recently, our child had a temperature of 100.1 in the handbook it shows if a child has a fever of 100.4 the child has to be sent home and cannot return to LBA.
an hour later, without a proper documentation of dismissal and by parents choice of bringing our son home to take Tylenol to manage the fever and then return- we were told to keep our child home by phone.
An hour after that there was an announcement of the “illness policy” being a bit more strict than normal because there is a peak. After bringing up to Nina’s attention if the handbook says 100.4 fever and he had 100.1 we believed our child can return to class after taking Tylenol to manage-she explained to us how there were no exceptions. We understood how serious this was being enforced after speaking with Nina.
That same day when we went to pick up our child’s bag to our surprise the teachers did not send his extra clothing home. It felt very inconsistent with how strict the “illness policy” is being enforced that a deep cleaning wasn’t happening the same weekend the “illness policy” was announced and action was already taking place same day.
Thank you for asking for feedback we really appreciate the opportunity to let you know ways this location can improve.
Teachers are knowledgeable about the kids they take care of. Enthusiastic and seem to genuinely care about my child. Clean facilities, well organized, trustworthy.
Great community feel. Friendly staff.
Caring staff
While we found all the teachers and the admin staff very warm, there are a few things that i would love to see improved at Lightbridge.
1. Snacks and food - cheeseballs, goldfish, veggie sticks some of these things are not something that i want my 15 month old to eat. Many times snack options are very limited and repeated. Instead of packaged items, more fruits/proteins/healthy fats/grains are what recommended for toddlers at this age by WHO. Many other schools offer more wholesome food and snack options.
2. Lunch - i hate to see my kid having to eat cold lunches. If there was a way to warm the food on a needed basis, that would be great. I would have expected a warm lunch provided by the scholl in the amount of tuition paid. Again many other schools provide lunches at this tuition.
3. Progress report - A progress report for my kid would be helpful. Kids spend more time at the school than at home. A progress report including all the basic skills children need at their age is helpful for parents to know how they are growing. This is again offered by other schools.
I feel like my daughter is learning a lot. I love that they are teaching her sign language and they do a lot of art projects
We truly appreciate how the school listens to our concerns and responds thoughtfully to any issues we raise. The communication and support mean a lot to our family. We especially love Kayla—she has been wonderful with our daughter, and her care and kindness truly stand out.
Admin and the staff. All very caring and seem to really care about the kids.
The teachers and staff are the very best! We've been here since day one and could not be happier - we are even sending our Kindergartener back for summer camp because he loves it at LBA so much, and so do we. Thank you for loving and nurturing my kiddos!
The Blue Horse teachers continue to impress me - they are committed to creative learning techniques each week. I feel like my child is learning and being set up for success. The front office staff also does a great job of communicating, and they are very approachable if we ever have questions.

We like the staff, both management and teachers
