Culligan delivery men carry the 40-pound bags of salt down to my cellar near the deionizer.
Washed dishes and shower doors are nearly spotless with little calcium salts residue. Untreated Frederick County VA water is "hard" or rich in calcium.
We use much less shampoo and soap for personal cleansing than without Culligan.

I've had Culligan since I moved into my hard water house. Culligan water softener made a big difference in dish washing, laundry, and especially showers and baths.

Great customer care
The water softener installed works excellent and is up to date. Not some antiquated system. The installer/plumber did an awesome job and took the old unit away. System works flawlessly. No issues. Highly recommend Culligan for their services. Did everything that was talked about. Do not mess around with the box store softeners they are junk. Mine only lasted three years it was a Rheem brand. Trust me. Waste of time and money. Culligan has it down to a science.
Service representative was pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient. Did a great job and leftvarea very clean and dry, unlike other service reps from other companies.
Soft water
Culligan’s is the only service of its type in my area. I live in a rural community, and my water is from a well. I rent a whole house system- Iron Clear - to filter out the rust & address the sulfur smell. When the system has been serviced, it works well. I’ve researched other systems, and the Iron Clear is the best solution. So, I appreciate that Culligans could identify the appropriate system immediately.
I have had issues with billing that resulted in my account being delinquent; however, Brooke (local office) has been more than willing to assist with troubleshooting what happened. She is one of the gems of the company that I appreciate.
Because I rent, it seems my service requests are not prioritized when scheduling. This practice proved extremely challenging when a power outage resulted in no water. I left an after-hour VM and then followed up in the morning. I received a VM that service was scheduled for SEVEN (7) days later; yes - seven days + the two (2) that had passed without water.
ended up escalating to Culligan International. The head of Customer Support- Scott - called and listened to my complaint. In less than an hour, a tech was dispatched that afternoon. Culligan - local - gave me two (2) cases of water, and the tech resolved the issue that day. So, I appreciate that my escalation was taken seriously and given priority.
So why did I rate the company with a 10 and would recommend? The service tech who usually provides service - Kyle and Warren, who provided the emergency service; the awesome Brooke and Scott from corporate are the reasons why.
While I value how a company handles customers when all is well and how they manage customers when all is very not well, I value more. If I felt/found that these incidents- account and services- could not be resolved or if I experienced an unnecessary level of frustration trying to resolve the issues, my rating would reflect my irritation.
However, I worked with staff that cared enough to take the time to help, which is why I would recommend the company to others: recommend with caveats, of course.
I appreciate the prompt response when a problem occurred with our. The secretary said they would handle it within a week, but the route guy called the next day and took great care of us!

Enjoy having soft water. Had a service call and the guy was very friendly and explained everything.
