My tanks were replaced on Thursday, Jan 22nd, and since they’re in the garage, we don’t usually check them. On Saturday, while passing through, my wife noticed a leak from one of them. I sent pictures to the Culligan number that handles deliveries, but got an automated reply saying the office was closed. I then called the customer service number and reached an answering machine that said I could have the leak fixed for $350 or wait for regular hours. Luckily, it wasn’t a major leak, so I called on Monday, and a tech came the next morning at 7 a.m. to replace the tank. While I appreciate Culligan’s quick response, I think it’s unfair to charge $350 for an issue caused by their equipment. They should have an emergency tech available at no cost since the equipment belongs to them, and any malfunction should be their responsibility to fix. We were lucky nothing was damaged, but if it had happened while we were on vacation, it could’ve been much worse. The company should consider adding a monitoring device to alert customers when tanks are leaking.
Like the service. The additional delivery fee is over-kill. Incorporate it into service fee and stop the nonsense.
