New gym equipment installed with code scanners to show how to use the equipment through the internet . Ashton active also has free WiFi. It's a great place to work out for a few hrs stops me from being bored at home .
The only negative issue I have with active gyms is the pool Rota.
I would love it if 1 off the sites Ashton. Denton . Or Copley. Had general swimm every day all 7 days a week . So I did not have to look up on the app activity finder to find out wat gym I need to go to for a swim at my desired time .
Availability of the early morning swim
I really enjoyed swimming in the new swimming pool I also booked on the aqua fit class on Tuesday lunch and it was amazing. I was worried about going on my own but was made to feel so welcome .

Love the dance classes. All the instructors are amazing. Marie on reception is lovely and helpful. The gym has been improved greatly.

At the moment I have only used the gym but it’s very spacious and lots of equipment to choose from. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The facilities are clean and it's not as crowded as I expected. Lovely staff too.

Pool and gym are great BUT the air conditioning in the gym needs sorting especially as it gets warmer!!!
I go to the ashton under lyne poo. Everyone I have met so far is friendly and happy in their work.
The staff are very helpful, friendly and informative and they keep the facilities clean.
However, I feel that some parts of the changing areas are in need of repair, such as the shower doors, which are missing or are difficult to lock securely.
Also, there are quite a number of lockers which require one of their shelves to be replaced into its' original position.
In the pool area it is difficult to see the minute hand of the clocks from the slow lane during lane swim sessions and therefore to vacate the pool in a timely manner.
Is it possible for a bigger clock to be purchased or for one of the clocks to be transferred to the other wall?
If not, perhaps a whistle could be sounded when the session is complete which is very useful when this happens but it does not always occur.

If you are looking for a new leisure centre that has it all, this is an absolute gem Active Copley.
The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly, the equipment is state of the art and high spec, the gym is spotless throughout and with a massive pool, Sauna, Steam Room. It’s a fantastic place to work out hard and attend classes and at the end of it all relax. We have been a member since our girl was born, attending ducklings at 3 months old and she’s gone right through now to finish all her swimming classes and she is a brilliant swimmer.
All clean . A bit disappointed about having to pay for the car park as I used to attend three classes during the course of the day but won’t be able to now due to the payment charge .
The classes are really good and the staff are lovely.
I enjoy the classes. Perhaps instructors names could be updated eg siobhan aqua on Friday not Chris ! Monday zumba Anne not Karen etc.
Disappointed that Thursday could have more variety … boxfit twice 🤔? Dance class would be good.
But the staff are very friendly extremely helpful and always smiling. The ladies showers were filthy recently flooded etc ., but as soon as it was reported got sorted and cleaned straight away. I would definitely recommend my friends to join.
