I got great service from my salesman Tom Bennett. I bought my previous motorhome from him also. He has always been great showing me units and taking time with me even when he knew I wasn't ready to buy that day (unlike some of your other salesmen who are pretty much done with you when they realize you are not ready to buy). Initially I was not going to buy from General RV because after we made a deal the finance manager -Mr Lee was just terrible. He was very rude and condescending to both my wife and myself. We walked out and would never deal with such a person. Tom took care of that and made everything right and set me up with another finance manager named Chris who was very good. He explained all the details and showed me all of the numbers before I made final commitment (which Mr Lee would not do). Mr. Lee also made the comment "profit is not a dirty word" when I refused to put down a $5000 non refundable deposit before even showing me the interest rate or itemized numbers. I honestly don't know how this man even has a job.
After Tom made everything right we had to go to Ocala to pick up the motorhome. There the finance man that we had to sign papers with - Trey - was not the best also. Although he wasn't rude and condescending like Mr. Lee he tried to use different numbers than what I already agreed to with Chris from Tampa. Luckily I had a copy of all of the numbers I agreed to. Then his main and only interest was to make more money out of me by selling me every optional add on. I know that is his job but he shouldn't be - let me politely say dishonest - when trying to do so. He made like the 2 year warranty from Entegra was basically worthless and that I would be a fool if I didn't buy the extended warranty. He made statements such as the slides are only covered for 90 days. I later confirmed with Entegra they are covered for 2 years. Also the man that gave me an initial walk through of the coach was nice and everything I was expecting to be shown how to operate everything in detail after signing all the paperwork. That didn't happen. But somehow when I reviewed all the paperwork when I got home there was an Entegra Motorized Customer Delivery Form which had all the boxes checked and had my and Trey's signiture on it. Although Trey somehow got my signature on it that form is a complete lie and I never saw it before.
In summary, I would recommend General RV because of Tom Bennett. I would advise any friend to work with Tom or one of his brothers. Tom is a very honest and knowledgeable that a person could trust. I would also advise them not to deal with Mr. Lee and to be very careful in dealing with any finance manager.

Every place I called wouldn’t even talk to me about repairs to my slide out . I called you guys and Nickey asked if I could bring it in the next day , she had me stuttering ……..I made an appointment for a week later , you let me know everything that was going on and a week later it’s done . Thank you very much

Sales guy was clear and transparent during the transaction. The camper orientation was thorough and not rushed. Issues were addressed in a quick fashion. We waiting awhile before we got our orientation so they compensated use with a credit to spend on equipment. The service tech that installed our hitch was friendly, helpful and patient.
