I had a 90 massage with Shaun. I was really specific that I was only looking for stress relief, relaxation, and for my body to "feel nice" as I had had a rough two weeks. He focused on my back, really digging in. A number of times I commented on "sore, tender, or softer." So much time was spent on my back the rest of my body seemed rushed. That night my back started hurting, and I woke up a few times through the night in so much pain, needing to take medicine. I called and talked to the manager and she apologized. However she also said I needed to drink more water and stretch, and that sometimes even light pressure can feel painful if you are stressed. She also pointed out sometimes they have to "dig in" to really get in there.
I am not new to massages and was drinking water. I have never had a massage and been in such pain after. I was worn out and tired pre massage, but I was worn out, tired and in so much pain after. I was disappointed I took time off work, splurged on a long massage and then spent that night and the next few days I so much pain.

I told the front desk clerk how much I wanted to tip which I thought was a reasonable amount for the service and she referred me to the chart on the counter on how much to tip. I thought it was extremely rude.
If a gratuity is lower than customary for the service then, as what happened in this case, the front desk will inquire if the service was not satisfactory, or we could have done something differently to improve your satisfaction with the service.
The chart on the counter is there to suggest/help with what is customary gratuity for the normal price of the service, if you are comfortable with it, as you said you were. I am sorry that you were offended. Terry, Owner)

Always very professional . Have never had a therapist I didn't think was great. For me it is perfect. They always give me a reminder call which I really appreciate . I have been going there for a few years.
