my therapist listened to what my physical concerns were and the treatment focussed on this. Education was provided around what muscle groups were being treated and why and how this would help me.

I work really hard as a teacher with not much spare money post divorce living on my own. I booked in after an extra long term dealing with teenagers/parent issues for an expensive 80min massage to get my holiday break off on the right path. I communicated that I needed an all over massage but with the specific areas of need being my neck and shoulders. What I received was an 80 min neck and shoulder physio appointment where my neck and shoulders were worked on exclusively. He asked all the classic questions for a man about whether I had chest pain etc etc but DID NOT hear when I used the words "I need an ALL OVER MASSAGE with work on my tight neck and shoulders" I'm sooo disappointed and I won't be back. I specifically requested a guy for a remedial massage as most women don't have the strength of what I need and have received at other places.

Janice was excellent and I felt great after my massage. The only comment I could make was I would have liked more work on my arms and slightly less on my back. But overall it was a really good experience.
I explained to the therapist before she started that I really like to leave a massage feeling that it was all over, and she left my neck and head completely out; a bit disappointing. Also was really painful at times, couldn't relax at all; admititly I did ask for it to be deep but also expressed it being painful several times.
Some kind of lotion was used that seemed to be continually drying up, so it felt like skin being stretched, a burning sensation on my back, not pleasant at all. I have had many many massages and oil seems to work fine.
I wasn't going to complain or say anything but since you are emailing a feedback request, this is an honest reply.
