You need a swimming pool
Everything. I wish you guys had one closer to where I moved
Cleanliness in workout areas and especially in the restrooms. Also, in upkeep of equipment that needs to be repaired and facilities, like dirty and torn carpets. Just plain overall upkeep !
Instructors for yoga and forever fit are fabulous
Love the class atmosphere and instructors. Especially enjoy the cycle, power, turf time and cycle and shred classes. The challenges we have make it fun and I love getting prizes for participating and showing up. It’s a welcoming atmosphere. Janene C., Carrie B, Kelly Mc. and Becky C are all great and some of my favorite instructors. Love the contests and fun activities we do throughout the year like holiday hustle, holiday celebrations and dress up.

I like the choice of equipment the employees. I would like for the lap pool to be warmer.
Very nice staff plenty of great equipment love the pool sauna and steam room I can see myself going there for a long time
Water aerobics. Vanessa's classes are awesome!
Good equipment and usually dont have a problem waiting for dumbells or plates.
One of the more newly renovated clubs, really enjoy the staff members I see daily, towel service is nice, love the built in combination lockers, and the steam has been working consistently!
I am getting charged an annual fee that I was never told about during the onboarding. Nor I signed a contract during the onboarding process that states that
Pool needs to be kept cleaner, and/or better managed.
By Sunday it's looking pretty grungy, so it "looks" unhealthy.
Towels are always in a shortage and no one seems to keep the locker rooms tidy - at least in the men's room. So things just don't look clean or maintained.

I had 2 different assessments & never had any follow up. No one has ever reached out to me to help me get connected with the club. I specifically joined for tennis & pay extra for that service. I have spoken to 2 different pros about joining a team and gotten no response. The club on Prospect reached out to connect me to the pickle ball group after playing one time, which really made me feel welcome.
Variety of workouts. Never too full. Full ready showers.

Cell phones! Request members to either - get OFF their cell phones or get OFF the equipment!
Also. cell phones in the locker rooms! Please have the staff - MONITOR - the locker rooms (including the sauna and steam rooms.) every-so-often and admonish anyone using their cell phones in them. Apparently these people CAN'T READ all the notices against using them.
The atmosphere is really great. Everyone is nice and willing to be of help!
I like the overall options of equipment in the gym as well as the courtesy and professionalism of the employees
Great trainer and classes
I’m feeling neutral about Genesis. I find it odd that their are machines in the gym that are not being fixed. The one set back I am having is the fact that at the end of the swimming season Brooke was saying that they were going to have an indoor pool and they have everything taken care of for the building to begin. In the end of my note I would strongly encourage staff to talk about an indoor pool because that has happened every single summer since Genesis came to Topeka to take over Maximus.

I signed a 3 month contract for personal training. I was charged for a 4th month, which was not received and the trainer I was training with didn’t even work at the gym during this 4th month I was charged for. To this day months later I don’t have my almost $400 back.
One thing that is terrible about this location is the equipment. The barbells are old, bent, and do not stand up to the use that they receive on rhe daily.
Second is machines. There needs to be a hack squat, better flat benches, better decline bench, and so much more.
The Topeka location vs the Emporia location is a drastic downfall regardless of size and location. Massive improvements could be had if the Emporia location was moved to a much LARGER location within town vs the spot it is in now.
With some adjustments this location could be fantastic.
Friendly staff and I know that if I ever have any questions there's always a trainer around willing to answer my question & provided they have time available are willing to help
I probably don't have to tell you the shower situation is a disaster. It must be embarrassing to run a gym with almost no working showers. I can't believe I've been paying over $100/mo for me and my daughter. I must be way too loyal or stupid.
Since taking over the Power & Light location from OneLife the facility management has fallen off a cliff. Only a few of the men's locker room showers have working soap dispensers, and bathrooms and shower doors are either broken or not working correctly. Additionally, there is often no soap in the sink soap dispensers nor paper towels in the towel dispensers - either in the locker room or on the exercise floor. The cleanliness of the club has also gone down hill. One other major complaint is that the new towels recently purchased are terrible, they have no ability to absorb water after a shower. I greatly appreciate the purchase of new towels but is anyone testing them before buying? I really don't want to have to bring my own soap and towel to the gym daily, at least not for the price we are paying in monthly membership. Thanks for soliciting feedback.
Friendly coaches, clean facility.
The whole place is trashed. The floor is filthy the ceiling has huge cracks it leaks constantly and now eventhe Water fountain is broken.Theres just so many small things that are not taken Care of and it all adds up.
There needs to be more evening yoga, the rain leaking in needs to stop and there needs to be better temp control.
