Precision Auto Service has proven to be dependable for quality and effective. Costs are what it takes to do it right, and they stand behind the estimate, but "things on older vehicles happen" and therefore can't be held too tightly to an estimated quote. Their mechanics do a good job and keeping a good mechanic fully employed can't be cheap or easy. The days of "hook' another mechanic off the street to fill in for the disgruntled one that just walked off the job are over in my estimation. If you need to keep up maintenance on a vehicle for the long run and try to prevent breakdown in an un-opportune time and place, you have a good choice to make with Precision.
They are helpful and willing to fit you in on a busy Saturday.

Ron and his staff at the Precision Automotive shop in Gig Harbor are always professional, friendly and transparent. I have confidence that when Ron gives me an estimate, it is fair and competitive with other estimates I might get in the area. As a result, when he tells me what I need done and how much it is going to cost, I trust him completely. In today's world, that trust is incredibly hard to build and maintain. I can ONLY afford changes here. Everything else it’s too much for me. They are always so helpful. So friendly. So knowledge. However, so expensive. If you can afford it, I definitely recommend them. They have never did me dirty or mislead me. I simply can’t afford a $1400 break job on a 2009! I will always return for oil change. I was tuned down by take 6 oil change. Thy couldn’t get the stopper out nominal pan. LOL. Precision said hold my wrench. They got the oil changed. I will keep coming back to get my oil changed over and over again.

Concise diagnosis and availability for repairs
The products are excellent. I have never had any issues with any parts or repairs. The manager is fantastic and will do anything to help you with the work on your vehicle. The service manager has been there for many years and I will always come back because you feel like a friend.

Megan greeted me and checked me in for service. Don was everywhere and was the one to check me out. He took time to explain a couple of filters that are not ready to change that day, but will be at my next visit.
I appreciate the heads up and that they were not trying to do more than was necessary. I walked in with the oil change and tire rotation coupon and needed my state inspection done. I was there when they opened without an appointment and was done in an hour and 1/2.
I come to this shop every year for my state inspection, oil change and tire rotation. I appreciate how they run the counter and the garage.
