Nice people and super fast!
Professional timely service.
I've used meathead movers once in the past (2018) and was very happy. This time a little less so. Two things:
1) My move was delayed by a couple of hours because as the truck was pulling out of my old house, they ripped down a cable line. The movers initially thought it was a power line, which triggered a response from the fire department. Plus, Meathead switched out the mentor on my moving team. As a result, the move was delayed a couple of hours. I was hoping for a slight price break for the inconvenience, but nope.
2) I would have appreciated a more accurate price estimate. My move was anticipated to take 3 hours. I was prepared for it to go maybe a half hour or 45 minutes over (which would be an additional $150-225 over my estimate). That would have been fine. Turned out to be about 2 hours over, resulting in more like $600 over my estimate. It was NOT caused by my moving team; they did a good job, showed real hustle. I could not have expected them to work faster. They also said my furniture/box estimate was accurate except that I had 3 less patio chairs than I had reported I would (gave some away), so the estimator did have an accurate idea of the workload. I feel like I received an inaccurate time estimate beforehand, that I got low balled in order to accept the contract when it was actually going to be a longer job and cost more. Had I known it would be 5 hours and $1,500 vs. 3 hours and $980, I could have shopped around for a more competitive rate. Or at least been prepared for the cost. Was not a pleasant surprise.
The movers themselves did a good job. Everything got there safely.
Really great, efficient and courteous team! They moved our pullout couch up a flight of stairs and still finished ahead of schedule! Great work!

The team that handled our long distance move did an excellent job. They were efficient and careful in the loading and unloading. We didn't have any damage to anything moved and the final cost came in just below the original quote after all was said and done.

This whole process was great! From the FaceTime inventory, to the text reminders and emails, to the day of the move, You guys were great. The scheduler was informative, cheerful and efficient to work with. They sent follow up reminders and helpful hints. When moving day arrived, the crew dove in and worked hard. They were patient, helped with last minute items and did the job very well. They arrived at the destination on time and doubt I’ve seen a crew work any harder. They hold to their quote, no up charges or changes as with so many other movers in past experience.
This is my 2nd time using them and I’d do it again. Absolutely a good solid company to work with.

It was a positive experience from the call to the move day. Sara scheduled my move in day and did everything possible to make sure I was happy with the total cost.
