The coordinator handling the admin was honest and up-front about costs. The two movers who handled my move were professional, kind, and respectful of me, my time, and my belongings.
The service from dispatch, the crew the equipment and the professionalism. The crew was always on time. They were always nice and professional. They seemed to be well trained and self disciplined.
We could not have made our move without Meathead Movers! Moving is so stressful, and chaotic. Our movers came in and made me feel like I could just breathe and relax about one of the things that was causing me the most stress. They were extremely professional and hardworking! GREAT customer service from Sam, Ryan, Isaiah and Christian! They took the time to checkin with me throughout the move , wrap each important items for me extra careful and managed to be efficient with timing while making sure to not damage any of my items or my home. Just a heads up they do run and hustle to get the job done in a timely manner!!!! I will be using this team again for my future move into my new home !!!

Oh my gosh, they were terrific!!!! The young men moved a VERY HEAVY sleeper sofa down a long hall narrow entry hall and out a somewhat narrow front door with perfection!! To make matters worse they took the bed to my grandson's place (of course his apartment is up very steep stairs). I have never hired movers before but be assured Meathead Movers will be the first place I call if we ever need help again. We highly recommend them!!

Richard Palmer came out to our place for a quote.. We then signed the quote and scheduled the move. I was told 2 times that the movers would arrive at 9 am.. They did not arrive until 10 am on day of move!!! Then they told me that Richard did not write the quote up correctly and said I would have to pay around $1,500 more dollars!!!! I refused as I had signed the contract already and Richard CLEARLY had walked our property and it was his ERROR in writing up quote incorrectly. They finally agreed to the original quote ( which I had ALREADY signed). This seemed like a ploy to get more money in a completely unprofessional and unethical way. Brett was our mover crew leader and he was GREAT as well as all the movers that day.. They were patient and worked hard. My reason for NEVER recommending Meathead movers is due the quote issue. I was going to use Skinny Wimp that came highly recommended (and was cheaper) but they happened to be booked the day we needed.
We were pleased with the communication from Meathead and the movers were pleasant and courteous. Unfortunately after a couple of hours their immaturity showed and they began to rush and were increasingly less careful. They dropped a few things and could not hide the fact they were tired and wanted to stop. We had hoped for help setting up our king bed, TVs, dining table and other large items, and we expected to have more work done before they left. That may have been a misunderstanding on our part, since other movers loaded our truck, we drove it and Meathead unloaded it, but we thought we were paying for more service and would simply accrue more charges for more work time, and not simply have the workers leave after 3 hours. Everything was removed from the van, but we had really hoped for more help and not to feel like we were being helped by impatient nephews who want to get done ASAP so they can leave and pursue more fun activities. Meathead loaded us up last year for a move, and did a great job. We hired out of state movers to load us up this year, and were eager for excellent service from Meathead upon our arrival back in SLO, but were quite disappointed and found the experience more unpleasant and stressful than expected. We plan to move again next year, but no longer trust Meathead as much, and will consider other options for that full local move.
During the pandemic please keep your mask on! Also please put items back together how you found them. We’ve this company before and great people. This time around these people weren’t great.

After an extensive video call where we showed EVERYTHING to the estimator, and I mean EVERYTHING, when the moving crew showed up they hit us with, "Oh this wasn't accounted for, this will be extra" Wanted an extra $1000.00 dollars to move everything.
Ultimately you did not move everything and I am making multiple trips back to my old house to finish the job.
The guys were super friendly and polite, really cared about moving everything before their time was up, and the fact that we were able to reschedule our reservation from 10am to 3:30pm is incredible! We didn’t expect that to be possible. You guys saved our moving day!!

Very professional and caring movers. Someone decided to park their car right up against the trailer they had to unload, and I couldn't find the owner, but they were able to work around that and get it done.
Good people well trained, excellent performance by backroom people with hands on the customer and good equipment.
