The staff is friendly and the facilities are clean. It’s a great gym to workout in.
Designate a couple of pickleball courts as family friendly for learners that are always open play. It is not an inviting environment for families when the competitive players take over the courts during peak hours and the rack system is used. Also, post or email rules about how pickleball courts work. I have received mixed messages from various employees on how the courts work.
Also it would be great if there was a designated track time for kids. They have no where to run in the heat during summer.

I love the indoor track but the facility is far away from my house and so I don’t get there often at all.
Love the staff. Everyone at the front desk and kids room are so friendly and lovely. Shoutout to Jill who always has a kind word and a smile and makes my day better!! Also big shout outs to the lovely humans who snuggle on and play with my baby while I take care of myself!
The cost is reasonable for a family and there are lots of things to do. The staff is so friendly, too.

Accessibility to the exercise equipment.
I love STRC, particularly in the extreme weather months. The temperature controlled area allow for easy breathing when running on the track. Thank you! You’ve been instumental in my lifestyle change.

We are telling all our friends like other people told us about the center.
I would first like to say how much I appreciate our Recreation Center\. The front desk staff is always welcoming, friendly, and helpful, and I truly enjoy being a member\. I also appreciate that the city offers pickleball, which has become an important part of my weekly routine\. I am a regular player throughout the year\.
I completely understand that summer camps for children are an important priority, and I truly appreciate everything the city does for young families\. At the same time, I hope the needs of the adult community can also be considered during the summer months\.
For many of us, pickleball is much more than a sport\. It helps us stay physically active, supports our mental well\-being, and provides an important opportunity to socialize and build lasting connections within our community\.
One suggestion I would like to offer is regarding court availability throughout the day\. We have noticed that as activities in the facility change, additional courts sometimes become available\. However, players often need to ask the front desk to check whether those courts can be opened for pickleball, which creates unnecessary delays while many people are already waiting to play\.
It would be wonderful if staff could monitor the daily court schedule and automatically make courts available for pickleball as soon as they are no longer in use\. This small adjustment could make the process much more efficient and allow the facility to serve more residents without requiring players to request each additional court\.
One of the things I value most about pickleball at the Recreation Center is the incredible sense of community it creates\. The players are not only adults\. We regularly see families playing together, teenagers joining games with adults, and seniors sharing the court with younger players\. It is one of the few activities where people of different generations naturally come together, interact, and build friendships\. Those connections often continue beyond the Recreation Center and help strengthen our community as a whole\.
I truly hope the Recreation Center will continue supporting this unique opportunity by maximizing court availability whenever possible during the summer\. Recreation is not only important for physical health, but also for mental well\-being, social connection, and building a stronger, more connected community\.

Pickleball and childcare. I love that STRC is open at a decent hour on Saturday mornings unlike Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium which isn't open until 1 pm on the most popular family activity day for some reason.

The place have everything I need for my lifestyle.
Everything except you only offer high sugar and red colored candy, which is very bad for anyone eating it. You want to encourage heathy exercise, encourage healthy eating.
Love the trails and education along the way and all equipment and friendly employees!
The staff is friendly. The rec center is kept clean. I also appreciate that they are consistent with the rules of the center.
