Accessibility and overall facilities
Nice small facility with not too many people using it at one time. Especially appreciate the walking track. Employees are very nice and helpful.
I am very happy that the exercise equipment room has been expanded, with more equipment so it can support more members at the same time. The rec center is close to my home which makes it very convenient for me.

I joined STRC after a diabetes diagnosis. I’ve used the track to walk and jog in the winter cold and summer heat, and I’ve used various equipment to tone muscles. My A1C went from 12.1 to 4.5, and I’ve lost 150 pounds. I’ve just had my fifth grandchild, and STRC helped me change my lifestyle to achieve longevity. Thank you.
I've been taking line dance classes since 2011. Great instructors and facility. Am looking forward to taking a stretching class.
I only attend line dance classes but am aware that there are many other classes available
Childcare. They know my kids and welcome them with smiles and open arms. Whatever y'all are doing with that group is working!
Good equipment
I’m happy recreation staff very friendly.Recently add more new equipment .
Enjoy playing Bingo on Tuesdays with friends. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
However, it's always so cold most people have to wear some kind of jacket.
Staff is very informative

My wife and I work out there together bi-weekly. We enjoy seeing all the activities there for all ages.. We enjoy walking the park after a work out. Thank you
Modern equipment, clean, well staffed and good hours. Adding weights to the unused racquetball court is a welcome expansion.

I'm so glad I joined! I know a lot of exciting things go on over there and sometimes I can get the bus to take me over there and sometimes I have to miss. But I think it's very interesting for anyone to joi8n😃 😀 or visit and participate in the classes and experiences. I enjoyed looking at the garden. I really value getting my taxes done by the retired CPAs over there!

I like the variety of equipment they have to use.
We frequent the gym child watch and it has been such an amazing experience for both of my kids. They simply adore going in and the caretakers go above and beyond in making them feel welcomed, seen, and just loved. They come home with creative crafts all the time and look forward to returning even when I don't feel like working out. We have been a member since the center opening and the Sapling room caretakers have seen my kids grow up. It'll always be a part of their core memories!
Gym, and pickleball courts. We could have more of those as there is a lot of demand.
Not crowded with kids
The Allen Senior Rec. Center is a beautiful building with a relaxing atmosphere. All of the staff and volunteers are very sweet and helpful.
I particularly enjoy the Tuesday ceramics class taught by Sara Cantlon. Sara is a wonderful ceramacist with decades of teaching experience & a great sense of humor.
We learn so much and have fun doing it. Come join us.
