John’s Cyclery carries a wide selection of bikes and sizes, the customer service is personal, and they seem genuinely interested in getting the person on the right bike.
We have bought 3 bikes from this shop, most recently one yesterday. My son is in the no man’s land size between the 20” and 24” kid sized options. I initially wanted to jump to the 24” so that I could avoid having to upgrade him again so soon, but after making adjustments to the 24” and allowing my son to try riding it around the parking lot in the back, we all came to the conclusion that it was a little too big for him to be comfortable right now.
The shop had a 20” bike and it was the right solution. I also grabbed a new helmet for my son while we were there and the owner took the time to ensure the right fit before we left. The owner and his daughter are passionate about bikes and they are very kind and patient people. From my experience they run the business with integrity and it feels good to support businesses that do things the right way. We will continue to buy our bikes and have them serviced at John’s Cyclery.
