This is the cleanest and most updated Y in the area! We also have the best indoor pool and the homeschool programs are incredible.
If I could fix anything: some of the workers are not very patient with children. Anyone working in the children's areas should have love and patience for children.

I've enjoyed the friendships made at the YMCA. Those in my aerobics class have become family to me. We have wonderful caring conversations with each other.

I love that the JRL YMCA is bright, clean, and friendly. The weight area is organized, and users put equipment away (generally). I especially appreciate the "helpers" who continually keep spray bottles, towels, and the workout desk area tidy.
People are friendly and the fact that is hardly ever crowded in other words very nice atmosphere.

Everyone at Whitley County are friendly and easy to talk to. I'm there 5-6 days of the week in the pool for at least an hour sometimes more.
E gym
This is great "Y". I enjoy it every time. Things I would like to see, "Hot Tub". but not likely because it was never planned for. Also next time the steam room goes down, replace the LED string inside, they are almost all out. Next on pet peeve's list is those who watch their cell phone while using the equipment. There are two types of equipment; those with video hook and those without. My peeve is with the people using the video equipped machine and watching their cell video instead, tying up the machine for those who don't live on their cell phone. Please use those machines that are NOT equipped with video.
On the bright side all the employees are cheerful, bright and make you feel at home. There are regulars who are also cheerful and friendly. I look forward to my visits, doing my routines, having coffee and watching people come and go. Especially the little ones, so happy to be coming to the "Y". Running up to punch the door button for the days big accomplishment.. It always puts a smile on my face.

I like the cyclefit classes. The instructors are invested in making sure that everyone feels comfortable in the classes and are available for help if you need it. You see the same members all the time and it truly feels like a community there.

The best all around. Walking in the door Sandra is very welcoming. Taking water exercise classes with Tashanna definitely gives me the incentive I need. Willie is superb with kindness and cleanliness. This place keeps me in check mentally as well as physically. Thanks to all

Reliable child care
Very friendly and helpful staff. A wide range of classes to participate in. Very clean facility.
Being a senior, there are several different classes to choose from. They are all led by experienced instructors. Great place to meet other people with the same skills as me. They are also very involved with community, collecting food, or clothing. Management really seems to care.
