I have been a member of the YMCA for 25 years. The YMCA is a lovely place. I really like it. From the staff to the members, they treat each other without prejudice, which is a good thing.
The sauna (when the women go in without running shoes!). It's terrible when they put their feet up on the top or bottom bench with outside shoes. I know Randi was getting a sign up but when?
I've lost 4 brushes in the locker rm. Forgetting them by the hair dryers but none were found. Two of them were brand new and another was very expensive. All were clean..it seems brushes are never left in lost and found.
This location has fantastic staff! They’re helpful, kind and knowledgeable. The facility is clean and safe and I never have an issue getting a locker, getting into a class I want or using the equipment.
Good selection of classes-great instructors. People are friendly as you come in and check in.
I love the indoor pool! One of the most well-maintained in the triangle. I also love the sauna (men's locker room), it's always functional, unlike some other locations.
I love the variety of classes offered, although I wish there were more strength training classes between 9:00-10:00 and yoga afterwards.

I recommend Kerr YMCA to any of my fellow ex-REX friends so they can continue their wellness program. I love the diversity of both race and age offered by Kerr YMCA. I feel more alive being around people of all ages. I have met some wonderful people at Kerr while continuing my wellbeing doing laps in the pool. I plan to branch out to other classes as I build up my confidence and do more after my back surgery of one and a half years ago. Thank you to all the kind and helpful employees/volunteers who assisted me in making the change from REX to the Kerr YMCA.
