We love the Y for working out, swim lessons, outdoor pool in summer, day camp, family camp, Camp Seafarer, Leaders Club, community events, all the things!
Friendly staff, great peer group in workout area, the availability of occasional pickleball. The pool is too cold for me but I like that it exists should i be extremely motivated for it. Its extremely rare but there was a social mingle conducive event about a year ago. It was great to meet others who also workout afternoons. Some of the treadmills have cable TV program connections that do connect-this makes it. From about 1-3pm the wait for the hamstring and hip machines are usually 0 to only 10 min and this time works great for me. Other machines don't usually have much wait at all.
People in general and open activities when I want them excellent y- to organized for the people and membership could do a spicing up??for the same price
I love the programs at the YMCA, the Facility is fantastic, the pools and their programs so good - but also the staff at A.E. Finley YMCA are superb- knowledgeable, friendly, very helpful and the instructors are amazing. I go 4 or 5 times a week most weeks.

Used to be my regular Y until we moved to Cary but went back last week when we were visiting friends nearby. Loved being back at it! My only disappointment was that the seats on the new to me recumbent bikes are the most uncomfortable ones I’ve ever sat on. Had to slouch so my back wasn’t straight in the seat in order for my legs to be able to move freely. Very strange. I always loved using the recumbent bikes but will skip those in the future.
The life guards fall asleep on their watch.
Weekend locker rooms are a disaster.
Some of the personnel are not at all nice or accommodating.
The staff is professional and very accommodating when assistance is needed. The classes offered meet my needs and the facility is quite clean.
The facilities are top notch, especially the pools. I love working out in the outdoor pool. I would like to see a real locker or dressing room in the building of the outdoor pool.

I’ve only been there a week, but I like how clean and organized the facility is. The friendly greetings from your kind staff is a great start for me. My main goal is the weight room, so I look forward for a year of using the gym after staying away for 5 years.
I absolutely love the A.E. Finley YMCA and can't believe how stupid I have been not joining back in 1996 when I moved to the Triangle.
I fiinally woke up and joined this year, and words can't describe how much I am enjoying my membership. Especially because of the Staff, who are exceptional!!!!

I like the wide variety of ages that the Y serves. I like the quality of instruction in the classes; i.e., water aerobics, chair yoga, etc..
