I love the outdoor pool. I think it would be very appreciated if it stays open for lap swim longer periods on Spring/Fall. Normally it is only available for Swim Team after Summer.

I enjoy going here. Staff members are always friendly, especially Ms. Jeane at the front desk. I’m happy that the women’s sauna and steam room usually work at this Y. I also appreciate the towel service, since not many gyms offer that.
Can you guys fix the front doorway with some WD-40? It makes an extremely loud metal scraping noise when opening/closing. I’ve noticed it two days in a row now.
The staff at the Y is out-of-this-world great: welcoming, helpful, expert and kind.
What I like about the A. E Finley YMCA Membership experience is that it has such a friendly, enjoyable, and supportive atmosphere. Everybody has amazing hospitality while being encouraging to one another. We are able to exercise comfortably with the whole family while having awesome family bonding time.
With a more personal experience, having a membership helped me stay motivated in my workouts.
Great place, good activities, nice facilites, and excellent staff.
The institution supports Christian beliefs and has an encouraging culture. I could go somewhere else for free on Silver Sneakers, but I choose to pay a monthly fee because you don’t seem to be “woke” and do have common sense. If you turn “woke,” I’ll be gone. I also appreciate the class offerings for senior citizens.

The order and cleaning

Outdoor pool on Sunday, July 12 from about 2:30-6pm.
Head lifeguard had great control over crowds and was nice and interactive.. Good at balancing needs of a bunch of different people including band certifications.
Her crew was very present and were paying attention to swimmers. Very few times even when they were on break...most lifeguards including the head life guard were outside the room and enjoying the day/people.
It truly set the tone and environment of the pool. Most (- all?) behaved like they WANTED to be there. I did ask a couple of questions to one fellow and he was knowledgeable and answered them.
No accidents in the pool (they encouraged the 10 min break for bathrooms, food and other things). No fights/arguments from anyone. Lifeguards ensured safe environment (no running so we didn't have any falls/mishaps).
Head lifeguard was really sweet when calling out one misbehaving kid by calling her by name and making sure she got out of the pool during the break. It's like they really knew many of the kids in the pool. Because the kids weren't screaming and running everywhere, I was actually able to read and concentrate on my book. This is not always the case. .
It was just very relaxing even with a pretty big crowd.
I am/was happily impressed and am looking forward to the next visit. The only bad thing is that my expectations have been raised now. Wish that crew was out there every time visit the outdoor pool.

Everyone is very friendly and the gym is clean and there’s puzzles and coffee. We have excellent trainers and people to run the classes and I haven’t been in the pool lately but I plan to do that. It’s just great to have a Y that has plenty of variety of activities and things you can donate to, and it’s just a blessing to be a member.
