The friendly staff
The staff is extremely helpful, friendly and professional.
Everything except:
1. Need to extend weekend hours to 6:00 pm at least.
2. Wet areas need to be cleaned more often, twice per day at least.
Love the location. It serves the diverse population of downtown Durham very well. Accessible to all ages, ethnicities, and income levels.
Recently my wife Diane decided to rejoin the Y. The process of combining my senior membership into a joint membership was handled very well and very smoothly.

Friendly greetors
I have been a member for over a year now and I love it. There is a nursery that keeps my kids while I workout which is the most convenient part for me. There are so many classes you can take in addition to the weight room floor. The sauna and steam room in the women’s locker from is an added bonus.

The counselors are kind and patient. My son got to do lots of fun activities and exercise.
I love the Y! The people at the counter are the best! Everyone is so friendly and creates a great atmosphere.
Convenient to work. Camp counselors have been wonderful. Day camps are well structured and organized. We look forward to joining more camps
Staff & members of the Downtown Y are friendly, inclusive & encouraging. I especially appreciate the indoor track for running during bad or hot weather and having the fitness machines available in the same facility.
I like the Monday Zumba class with Tracey the best. however, I wish the music could be on the speakers for everyone like it used to be, not just on individual headphones. The basketball players next-door don’t like the music, they can adapt, and just stay focused on their game!

The staff is so friendly and welcoming. I swim, and the set up (lockers, showers, hours) is very good.
The facility is first rate. The hours it is open are awesome. And all of the staff are very friendly. I couldn’t be happier with my experience there.
