Our kids love it. The counselors are great!
The value to have a gym, accessibility other branches, an indoor pool, and the summer option of an outdoor pool is only some of the reasons we are members. The camp an athletic programs are also very important to our family.
The organization, communication and fun provided for my child made it the right choice for us!
We love the busing from the elementary schools, the flexibility given to kids, and the hours. It also allows kids to mix with kids from other schools and make new friends. Our kids have had a great time at the Y afterschool for all of elementary school.
We are pleased with the afterschool program at YMCA Chapel Hill. YMCA maintains a healthy and pleasant environment and keeps parents informed about the activities and behavior of the kids. They give utmost importance to the safety of kids. Last but not least my son was supported with financial assistance. I will surely recommend the program to my family and friends.

Meadowmont YMCA is very clean and well maintained. Has plenty of pool space and a slide.

This YMCA has a wide range of things to do, cardio equipment, weight equipment, swimming pool, gym, handball courts, kid's room, locker rooms, and a range of classes that is expanding to include more activities. I work out on the cardio and weights equipment while a family member participates in the water aerobics class. The building and equipment are always clean...great lighting...feels safe...lots of televisions around the cardio and weight rooms...and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Equipment that is down is repaired very quickly.

Although it could use some modernization and expansion when compared to other area YMCAs I love the classes (wish more were in the evening). I also love being able to attend any YMCA when I’m on travel. It is the best value for a fitness facility and the opportunities for kids are great (swim team, camps, after school).

Joined the Chapel Hill/Carrboro Y just over a month ago. Every staff member has been extremely friendly and helpful in getting me acclimated. Equipment is fairly new and I have not had trouble fighting over equipment. Overall great experience!

The Y is a place that just feels welcoming.
Also, the history of the Y is one of inclusion, brotherhood, and sisterhood. For example, the Y was involved in helping Jewish artists, writers, and academics escape Paris after Hitler invaded. Their lives were saved! An American, Varian Fry, headed the committee to get these threatened people out France.
Pilates class, rowing machine. People are friendly.
