The Nir Family YMCA is a wonderful facility. It is well maintained and clean.There is an activity option for everyone. I especially like the Family Pool along with the sauna and steam room. The staff at the desk are very helpful and the activity instructors help make going to the YMCA an enjoyable experience

Doesn't get any better than the Wilmington Y whether it's the Nir location or Mid-Town! They have so many things to offer at state of the art facilities. Nationally known, respected, & innovative. I was one of the first members when the Y moved from downtown to the current location on Market St. As a child, I lived 1 block from the Y & would walk there a lot. There was very little traffic on Market St at the time.
For me it’s all about the family pool being open for personal time everyday. The sun shining through the windows and doors is so serene. The parents enjoying the water with their little ones and the joyful squeals of children when the life guard turns on the waterfalls. Those waterfalls just add to my meditative state. It’s a wonderful way to exercise.

I love the 6am classes and instructors. I do wish Gordon were still teaching the Tuesday morning Body Pump class because he is a great teacher!
I just joined with my sister & have enjoyed the friendly people I have met so far. We are enrolled in the class to get familiar with the different programs and equipment this next week. The ease of access is great and I am looking forward to becoming even more active.
My family and I love the Y. The child care is amazing. Everyone is super friendly.
The classes.
What I like is the genuine level of care demonstrated by the staff, from custodians to personal trainers and administrators, of the Nir Family YMCA. There is always a friendly face present, genuine compassion shown, encouragement given, and accommodation made as needed in the programs offered there.
The overall facility and the friendly atmosphere. The only thing we need is a whirlpool/hot tub.

The classes are great for any level of exercise lots of variety and the staff that instructs are amazing and knowledgeable and they make it fun to join . I have been attending since 2021 and I just introduced my neighbor and she has joined . So keep up the good work 💙
Great instructors, clean facility, variety of classes.
Well equipped. Friendly and helpful staff. Decent hours, although they open too late on Saturday, and way too late (noon) on Sunday.

I love deep water aerobics, I just wish it was offered at different times. The pool has gotten so crowded.
