I had both group and private swim, I liked that the instructors customized the lessons for each swimmer. I loved the friendliness and patience of both coaches, they made the lessons fun.
It is scheduled for the right amount of time and very easy to sign up and access. We had the pleasure of working with Lindsay and she was absolutely wonderful- we will definitely be back for the next stage of lessons!

It's a very clean and good amenities
I needed some explanation as to why YMCA withdrew 3 months fees from my account when I was placed on medical leave for 6 months. I made arrangements to see the manager (I believe his name was Daniel) recently who explained the situation to me. I was NOT aware I had to "renew" my applications to YMCA yearly...hence I did not respond to the emails requesting this from YMCA. Neither was a compusary withrawal of one months fee to be deducted as a "donation" to YMCA explained to me when I enrolled for memebrship.
Daniei explained the situation for me, and promised they would not withdraw any moneys from my account until November of this year.
When I applied for memebrship to YMCA approximately one or two years ago, Justin helped me with it, but he did NOT explain this "renewal" procedure, nor that a compusory withdrawal from my account once a year as a "donation" would be done. All this would have helped me in future to understand my enrolement. Sadly, Justin has since passed away, but Daniel was very helpful in explaining all this to me now. Hopefully I will not encounter any further problems with YMCA.

An outdoor pool would be lovely, but I understand the financial constraints, and u have other pools.....
A BIG (and nearly free) improvement would be to post signs saying something like:
"PLEASE help us maximize the use of workout machines by moving off them when taking breaks. For example, please do not adjust CELL PHONES while occupying a workout station. And please do not rest for more than one minute between sets while occupying a machine or bench (you can always "work in" with other YMCA members."

Other Ys and gyms have these signs. Helps with those who sit, doing nothing(!) for up to 15 mins on a given machine.

Great programs
YMCA is fantastic. Programs for everyone. I go to midtown mainly because of distance to my home. In particular I love pickleball at both locations. Fantastic exercise programs for all ages.
The classes are good. The gym offers good equipment/machines in a sensible layout. We've enjoyed using the pool, including for infant swimming lessons.
