Friendly staff, good classes, perfect location for me.
Overall, I like the YMCA. I appreciate being able to come and exercise and keep healthy. The staff is always helpful and pleasant.
But recently the facility seems to be lacking in maintenance and upkeep.
The ladies steam room has been down for about a month, the exhaust fan for the Family pool hasn't been working, which causes the need for the dome in the 6-lane pool to be open some to allow the humidity to escape causing the 6-lane pool area to be cooler than usual.
The deck area for the 6-lane pool is dirty and slippery, I have personally seen people slip on the areas around the floor drains. What ever happened to the no slip coating that was to be put down over a year ago?
Pumping "ice cold" water into the 6-lane pool in the morning, to bring up the water level, while swimmers are using the pool, "might there be a better time to do this"?
I believe the heater was disconnected yesterday (?) from the 6-lane pool, I understand that work on hot tub insulation necessitated this but notice of disconnect and the cooler temp of the water was not sent out to members early enough today for all members to decide whether they wanted to come swim or not. Some of us only found out upon arrival at the Y.
It just doesn't seem like any forward planning has been done lately to ensure members' safety, comfort and satisfaction.
Lots of options for classes and great instructors
There are so many classes to choose from, offered all day long, so it makes it easy to fit a workout into a busy day. The instructors, especially Charlotte W. and Addie K., are prepared and positive, and their classes are challenging - exactly what I go to the gym for!
The facility is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful.
Sylvia and Susan are great instructors. They provide how to perform exercises with proper form, give positive feedback and make the classes fun.

I like to walk in the Y and be greeted by Mona with a smile and kind words. I like the cleanliness of the locker rooms, and I love the new carpets! Coach Perry is an amazing coach that is very passionate, motivating, and knowledgeable in regard to her coaching style. Coach Perry knows exactly how much to push me to get better, and the results are beginning to show in my swimming, I am truly grateful! The few classes that I took at the Y have been excellent! The lifeguards are great! I drive about an hour twice a week as I feel I am valued as a member of the Y, and the Masters swim team, I like the community that the Y provides to me and public.
Very friendly staff , as well as very helpful. They listen to suggestions and actually try to help navigate thru the system. Love the Y!
