Everyone is so kind and helpful- The Y feels like a community. The teachers are excellent- knowledgeable, talented and KIND.
Great facility but I know not everyone can afford the cost to join. Most of my friends are widows, like me, living on one income which has to be stretched in many directions.
When instructors are away get a replacement for them.
I like that the Y is more than a gym or a place to take a swim. It’s a vital resource that draws people of all ages and backgrounds and serves the community well beyond its walls. Beyond this, the Soundview Family YMCA is part of a larger network that serves communities across the country. As a member, we can access many of these facilities when out of town.

Friendly atmosphere and excellent exercise classes and instructors
The people, the facility, and programming are terrific! I really want a sauna though, like the one at the East Side Wallingford YMCA.
Stay open later. Your hours are less than any ymca in ct.
Add pickleball, ideally indoors but ok if outdoors
Offer more yoga classes outside of normal work hours like at 7am and 7pm.
More consistent exercise classes. The one class I loved is gone but you keep putting it on the schedule. Either cancel it or get another instructor (for Skips classes)

Excellent teacher for Flex and Balance
Good variety of classes and equipment.
It is clean and friendly. The pool is Hugh and so far able to get a free lane for lap swimming.
The Swimming Pool is 2nd to none in the state! Clean and comfortable!
Staff in the entire Y is so Friendly too.

I like the variety of fitness classes, the availability of the pool and the wellness center. I particularly like the staff at the front desk and my favorite instructor Robyn Hoffman.
The staff is so pleasant. Classes they offer are wonderful. It’s a great place to exercise.

Broad offerings and programs if either retired or with flexible work program and hours
It opens early in the morning. The machines are comparable to any gym in the area.
I like that there are classes for seniors.

Bathrooms outside the locker rooms. Monitors in gym - give them a seat!
