Activities like archery, beading, look up beach volleyball, scarf throwing independently and with partners, indoor boccee played outdoors using bean bags (small and large needed) , large dice to play fit dice, badminton

I love the Soundview YMCA! The staff are all friendly and accommodating. The locker room, pool and gym are always clean! My only criticism is the parking situation at peak hours. Thank Y!

The counselors are amazing, attentive, kind, fun. They take amazing care of all of the kids. I have a 3 year old and 7 year old and I was slightly nervous about sending the 3 yr old but she had the best time and everyone was so amazing with her. They have great activities, the kids are never bored. I can’t rave about it enough. It’s the highlight of the girls summer. Maybe even the year.
I began my YMCA membership in the Livestrong Program back in March 2026. Christina and Jess, our instructors, are AMAZING!! They are caring and gentle, reassuring and knowledgeable. Friendly too. This program is for all cancer patients.
When the 12 week program was done I continued to see Christina and Jess in other instructor led classes! I've also branched out and met many other instructors. I continue at my own pace and never ever feel judged as my brain and body gain strength and I gain confidence. Quite the opposite, I've found the patrons in class with me are encouraging and helpful! I just ask for help, everyone makes it easy to do so. I love the YMCA. Cudos to all the staff for fostering this environment!! Thank you!
Phenomenal camp. My kids look forward to going and come home tired. Staff is great.. very nice.

The counselors are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They learned the kids' names within the first two days, and my daughter loves being greeting by name as soon as we pull up. She has done a variety of activities and made friends. We are very pleased with the camp so far.
My girls have the time of their lives there every summer! I can't think of a better place for them to be to truly enjoy their summer months.
The staff here is absolutely wonderful! They care for every camper and want to ensure everyone is safe and having fun! The kids come home excited and tired from all the action.
I enjoy how busy the kids stay and how many outside things they have to do for my 2 boys!
I have written so many times over the years that the folks you have in the gym need to do a better job of reminding members to wipe down the equipment after using it.
Recently they informed me that my bike shoes were not allowed but even though there is nothing in any of the literature that states this and I have worn them in the for the last 4 summers. When I asked him why he was worried about my shoes but does not remind people to clean the equipment that can transmit sickness he looked at me like I was crazy.
My son is in the Adventurers and was there the week of 6/30 which was extremely hot. They spent much of the time outside sitting around (at archery, they had to wait in the heat until 2 other groups finished). When they went inside to cool off, they were told to go back outside since it was a nice day (it was over 90 degrees). My son said there was talk of going on a field trip to a trampoline park but there was no communication to parents all week about when or where. It would have been great to get them out of the heat but they ended up not having a field trip at all. One of the main reasons we did this camp is because the Adventurers are supposed to go on one field trip per week. Again, there was no communication to parents at all about a field trip all week. A field trip should have been planned in advance. This was also an issue last summer when there were weeks that there was no field trip and no communication.
The check in is always chaotic- there shld be one line per book.
On the Monday, the counselors getting name tags is also very chaotic- maybe just hand them out at sign in
There are a couple counselors that just sit and don’t engage in the morning- maybe they’re tired? Some are AMAZING! Aaron and Katie were so great and welcoming to my greenhorn boys- that SHOULD be the standard
My boys talk about how they’ve waited to do ropes course or an activity- but there wasn’t time so they didn’t get to… I don’t dislike it at all, but I had higher expectations for the cost and the size.

This is our first year and both my girls are having so much. The counselors are so kind and personable which makes a new experience that much more easy to enjoy

Well organized and executed by wonderful people. Kids are enjoying and having fun.
My son is now going for the second year and he loves it. The most important thing for us is his safett and we feel at ease leaving him there.
Provide indoor activities especially during inclement or extremely high temperatures. Allow for indoor bathroom use
IT needs to be renovated…its dark inside even in the womens lockers, definitely needs to be updated, even the Class room downstairs.
Communicate ahead of time and also send out waivers ahead of time. Everything seemed last minute and was not communicated with enough time in advance including pick up after a field trip. Don't plan the fieldtrip the day of when weather isn't great. Would have liked a heads up and luckily we had a swimsuit in bag but I'm sure some kids did not. It would be great if you could Figure out a better system with drop off and pick up as well. it was not very organized and confusing.
My kids are older now and they aren’t enjoying it unfortantly.
Communication has been impossible. My son cannot attend for 4 weeks due to an unforeseen school requirement. I've already paid for the first two weeks. I was told I would not get billed for another week but was anyway. My sons are enrolled in aftercare and they tell me all they do is sit around for 2 hours. On rainy days, they stay in the pavilion all day and the only game they have to play is Uno.
