Re: Zumba 9:30 Saturday
Christina is an experienced zumba instructor. she challenge me and I love that she is offering Friday night clinics. Several people keeping asking if I like the class. I do. I understand their angst. the class did a quick shift from zumba gold to regular zumba and many of the participants are older (and used to Selma's style/level) or special needs. There are also participants like myself it is a stretch but a welcome stretch. My suggestion is to have two classes - a Gold and a Regular Zumba on Saturdays or show different levels of the moves during the class and make it clear that you do this according to where you are. If i had to choose, I selfishly would chose Christina - even though it is a challenge. I also lover her 1- minute abs work after class. I could not do them which tells me I need to do them.
Generally I love the Y - it's awesome here. The Saturday YMCA Zumba class has become way too hard. I talked my sister into joining the Y and my mom because they were excited about an inclusive zumba class that was accessible fore all levels. My mom is 69 and was looking forward to a slower paced class. It was unfortunate timing - over They just joined in September, and now with the new advanced level, I'm going to advise my mom not to join. Part of the joy of the Y is its since of community for all ages and abilities. Plus it's been nice to have a weekend class so I could potentially join my sister and mom in low-impact classes since I work M-F. The new teacher is great for more advanced students - just I miss the more inclusive class. Thank you.
Thoroughly enjoyed Zumba Gold class today Sat and also Wed of this week too!
Fabulous Sculpt Fitness Class this morning. Excellent Instructor. Thank you
I love cycling/spin class with Denise or Courtney. It’s a fantastic cardio workout that gets my legs ready for ski season. The classes are very friendly and the Y is great for the community. I’ve tried several gyms in the area, but I keep coming back to the Y.
I want to say how AMAZING Coach Delaney (gymnastics) is. She is so patient, kind, and engaging. We really hope she teaches Fall II parent/child and preschool. (I wish your pool had baby/toddler features)
Zumba Gold on Saturdays GONE!?! My special needs daughter has her community in this class and cannot do this class - too loud too fast. Put it back as Zumba Gold!
Bring back are zumba gold on saturday the Ymca took it without telling 30 Ladies gave it to aerobics Not Happy
I Love the Y! I want to help. I am a community inclusion specialist for adults with disabilities and I have loved bring my client to zumba Gold on Saturday morning. Christina (sp?) was a wonderful, high energy instructor. I am concerned about the decision to eliminate Zumba Gold, especially when it has been literally the ONLY accessible class. The joy and comfort we felt walking into a class with able-bodies and disabled people dancing together in a level appropriate class was huge! I hope you will consider how limited the options are for adults with disabilities and how devastating using this class and community is. The y is for all! Disabled people deserve to be included. I am happy to be a part of the solution!
Please put in the Drop in Gymnastics that is closed during break week
TRACY was the most excellent teacher - Please hire full-time
friendly staff and members. need more water weight. They have been falling apart and disappearing for a long time
Any thoughts of adding a step class?
I love yoga aerobics all of it. I've tried tai chi 2 times. The man talks quiet, and he keeps his eyes closed so I cant hear or get assistance
Scott greeted me with a smile - so welcoming. Asked if I wanted a tour and paged Kaylee who walked me through with a smile like she was showing me her house.
Climbing wall, open courts, pool are great! Please move the air hockey table back to the front. We have come in a dozen times to play and it is always locked up. Tks!
I like all the friendly employees.

I appreciate all the different exercise equipment available.
I appreciate the efforts made to keep facility clean and safe.
I value my massage therapist who has an office in the Y building. Very convenient!
Thank you for being a Family YMCA and valuing the health of people no matter what age.
I like that the Y is open everyday and that it offers a variety of classes, especially Commit. It's nice that you can sign up for programs for kids too. I also like that this Y has the best front end greeting staff. For the most part, they are upbeat and lively. We've been to several Y's around the area and the one where we feel welcome is the Pearl Y. Also, I like when I borrow equipment that the front end staff is very helpful.
Always friendly, always helpful, so family- and community-oriented--we love our local Y!
all great service
I appreciate the course offerings and pool access. I wish there was more lap / free swim time.
I love that there is water volleyball at the Pearl Street Y. It really helps with my mobility. I've used other areas of the facility and have always met friendly people and helpful staff.
