I have been coming to the Gordon Y since it opened. I love the variety of classes and athletic opportunities. I particularly love being able to play pickleball every morning if I want. I also love swimming laps in the pool. And I enjoy the book group led by Amber! She picks great books! And most of all, everyone is friendly!
The gym is clean, parking is never a problem, and there are tons of activities to register my 4 year old for.

The entire staff are always so professional and friendly. The facility is awesome, especially the pool area, and there's plenty of programs available to choose from.
Jack Barrett is always so friendly and willing to help anyone and everyone feel right at home. He wants everyone who walks through the doors of the Gordan Y to create their very own Y story!
Super wonderful experience as always. Just thought I might make a request/idea/suggestion for a set of fish bowl mirrors on the wall above the cardio equipment upstairs so us ladies can try to have a better idea of what is happening behind us when we have our backs turned. Just a auggestion coming from a situational awareness perspective.

Could we please see another bench or multiple stools places in the men’s locker room. Specifically to the left and first row of lockers. When busy there is no place to sit or place gym bags. The area needs two benches minimum.

Easy, convenient, and kids loves it!
Friendly guest service counter. Large open spaces on free weights. Pool, hot tub, steam room/sauna don't ever seem to be too crowded. Lots of varied classes. OPENING AT 5AM. Beats the rain outside!

The Y in Sumner has something for everyone.
Love the classes and variety of things the Y has from pickleball, yoga, weights, pool, etc.

5:15 am cycle class on Thursday is a great place to be.
It’s not just a place to go workout it’s a place that encompasses all aspects of health and wellbeing. Stepping into the YMCA feels like coming home. It’s very nostalgic for me to bring my family as I grew up going to the YMCA. So grateful to have one in our area.

My family loves Gordon YMCA! I love how the teachers/coaches are always happy and do a great job encouraging the kids to keep trying and work to their fullest potential. We also appreciate how many different programs are available for everybody to try. I do have a few suggestions for improvement. 1- it would be appreciated for all activities (like tot-chef) to be offered at 4:15 or later because some of the local schools start later and get released later making it impossible to arrive at a 4:00 class on time. 2- Maybe find another field other than Sumner middle school field for team sports because the grass is rarely mowed (making the soccer balls hard to move in) and the number are holes in the grass that make it hard to run or walk. 3- The clothing dryers in the locker rooms are shut down more often than working. 4- Lastly, the price of team sports keeps increasing but the quality and quantity of equipment are decreasing, yet the coaches are unpaid volunteers. Besides those complaints, we recommend Gordon to all of our family and friends.
I am mostly at the Y in the morning and I want to say that there is a real sense of community with the morning group. There are strong class offerings, consistent personnel, and a positive atmosphere.
It’s clean and the employees are happy and helpful. Sometimes the water in the pool is cloudy.
