All of the staff are always friendly and helpful. The facilities are always well kept and clean! In my opinion, it's a great atmosphere for families and children. We love the Y!
As I was walking in the guy in charge of the desk most week days was so happy to greet me. I really needed that warm greeting perked up my day.

It is convenient, diverse, great staff who are responsive to every question re: any concern (eg. cleanliness of an area of the facility).
It seems like the classes that people want are being offered...for the most part. Still hoping for more choices with weekend water aerobics in the warmer of the two pools.
One request that has gone un acknowledge is an over year long (persistent) request for 3# weights in the west studio. We recently got an influx of new 5# weights but the senior fit for life classes have been virtually begging for new 3# weights as those in the studio are so beat up as to have their casings torn from the enclosed metal. This is a purchase many of us would be very grateful for and hope the request will soon be satisfied.
Many of us are concerned that the parking issue will be a serious problem when the new arena is constructed and we are concerned it might not meet our needs and we will let our memberships go. Hope this is taken into consideration as new initiatives are considered.
I enjoy the cycling classes with Farah, Christine, Jess and Kelly. The majority of the cleaning staff work very hard. Rodney greets us daily which puts me in a mood to work out.
These people, collectively, have been so incredibly gracious. We are welcomed each and every time we attend and the staff is so visible and willing to address any/all questions we have. We LOVE this place. I apologize in advance for saying so but this location beats everyone else hands down.

Lots of helpful equipment and helpful people, I've been a member for over 15 years. The have awesome programs and personal trainer with convenient daycare.
Facilities are good, and clean. Instructors are great. Most members are supportive/friendly

I love that the lap pool is separate from the family pool. My local YMCA (Spartan Nash) is not that way. People are constantly playing in the few lanes they have there preventing people from being able to swim laps.
I love the community at the y. The staff is wonderful!
It would be great if the Y was open later on Saturday
The building is circles and squares thus inclusion is built to include everything, just like art.
I love the Y , great friendly staff and members. I wish music was still played in the gym/ fitness center area. I miss the music , as do other members I have spoken to about it.
The recent partnership with GVSU is definitely a great choice so many community members are able to utilize what YMCA offers at no or a little cost.
I mostly like the lap pool, but there is something for everyone in the family.

My attendance the past 6 months has been nothing more than superior. I’ve exercised on the top floor with ease. There are plenty of machines/weights to accommodate many people. The instructors in exercise classes on the 2nd floor and pool area, that I’ve attended, are exceptional. The teaching staff and attendees are friendly and welcoming. The facility is very clean.
Decent racquetball courts and multiple locations
I love the peace of mind when ur in your element ..People is people but when u can get around that its the most relaxing, reluctant feeling ever plus if u get that work out in ...I love the hospitality sometimes not all the time and the Thanks for coming see u later as u leaving puts the icing on the cake...it can use more cleaning in the showers but other than that ...change the shower curtains would be even better... because people is nasty half the time ...it's not home and as so many people go in and out we need to stay on it every two hrs...

I love the YMCA! Friendly staff, great facilities, and such a joy to get to be active alongside my community! Also, they gave me a discount which made it financially much more doable to get a membership — so helpful!
