Always very clean and employees are nice & friendly. I do wish it had massages available. If I want one from the Y I have to go to one by 54th St. Also it would be nice to have a sign outside before you go in if pool or other areas are closed.

What do you like about your David D. Hunting YMCA experience?

Although the latest DDH building renovations are messy and inconvenient, it's still an outstanding facility and program. However, I am not looking forward to the winter walk from the GVSU parking to the Y front door. I especially grieve what this parking situation means for my physically challenged friends.

It's a place where anyone can work out, experience sport and meet other people. So much equipment, carefully cared for, available to anyone. I wish I could visit every day.

Customer service! There is always a welcoming smile and someone to greet you. Rodney who is very personable to the cleaners that work their. They set the tone of that Y. Along with the ladies who I have encounter in the locker rooms. They too a very friendly. It's a great atmosphere.

What do you like about your David D. Hunting YMCA - Aquatics experience?

The instructors were great. The kids loved their swim lessons and we saw a big difference just in 4 weeks.
The gal who did the swim test prior to the kids starting lessons (Deck Manager maybe?) was phenomenal. It was only an 15 minute test but She made them feel so comfortable right from there moment they walked in the door which completely set the stage for their swim lesson experience.
