The after care I needed for a working mom
Claire has been wonderful with communication and accommodating our schedule. We have been extremely impressed with how smoothly everything has run since she has been working as the aquatic director. Catherine (swim instructor) has also been consistently wonderful. Our son looks forward to every swim class because of her.

Lessons were highly specialized to the tasks we needed our daughter to master prior to taking summer camp swim tests.
We love the counselors and the fun activities they have for the students. My daughter can’t wait to end the school day so she can go to aftercare. And I love the ease and convenience to text the counselors if my daughter can’t attend aftercare that day. Or inform them on who will be picking her up that day.
I’m just not keen on the raising of fees every year. But it’s still worth it. :)

My kids love after care.
Its mostly positive, i think there are good teachers and not so good teachers and the consistency is not always there, but generally i feel comfortable sending my child to aftercare.
YMCA staff are so great with the kids. Mr. Zay did a fabulous job keeping the kids on task, out of trouble, and engaged them in sports and activities. I think he even mentioned special enrichment activities like capoeira, which is amazing!
Amazing counselors, so caring and warm. Terrific activities. My daughter loved it.
The counselors are so wonderful and caring! My daughter loves aftercare so much that she often doesn't want to leave. So grateful for this team!
Teachers personally get to know each child. They engage the children in a variety of activities, while keeping safety the priority. My children looked forward to after care and sometimes asked to stay longer!

Friendly atmosphere, energetic classes and leaders, ample equipment in the various weight and circuit rooms.

Great service
The before and after care programs have been wonderful for us and a great experience for our son. Our son loves going to morning care and stays active in after care. Knowing that caring people are looking after him before and after school is a great comfort to us, two working parents.
I love the Montclair Ymca. The facilities and prices are great. I use my membership primarily for yoga classes and am pleased with the variety of classes offered.
We loved the semi-private setup, with a lot of personal attention that made the classes really valuable! Claire was a patient and most excellent teacher for first-time swimmers.
I really like the yoga classes, notably the classes taught by Rose and Maggie.
