What do you like about your YMCA of Montclair - Staycation experience?

Easy registration process, although the marketing of it was not good- I learned about it from a mom group.

Seamless drop off and pickup.

Clear instructions for arrival (what was needed, etc)

Clear instructions for what kids need to bring and what they will do.

Age appropriate grouping. Counselors were attentive when we saw them at pick up.

What do you like about your YMCA of Montclair - School Age Child Care experience?

I love the organized fun of it all. The program managers in our school- Ms. Heather and Mr. Parker- have huge hearts and fair practices that benefit all children. I trust them. They have a team of kind adults who play with and guide my child as he plays and navigates relationships. It’s just right for us! Thank you, team!

What do you like about your YMCA of Montclair - School Age Child Care experience?

Ms Heather Mr Parker Ms Mallorie and the entire staff at CHB before and after care are excellent. They really get to know the kids and are so enthusiastic. My boys don’t want to leave! I share with all new families how wonderful Ms Heather is and how grateful I am for the program that she oversees. As a parent who has to rush from an office to school pick up it makes me feel much better knowing that my boys are happy and safe with Ms Heather and her team.

Love the counselors, the reliability, the community environment. Appreciate that they have the kids do their homework. And they make it a fun place to be!

The Y has been a pleasant experience from for the past few years as it has become an important part of my routine. I cannot say there was ever a negative aspect of it at any time. So appreciative of all the professionalism there!

What do you like about your Park Street YMCA - Membership experience?

I love the YMCA! It's a magical place like no other. It's truly a community and all are welcome. My only three suggestions are: 1) please enforce the cell phone policy in the women's locker room, 2) please enforce that children and parents direct their young children to the family changing room. It's uncomfortable changing around young children and it's not appropriate yet parents seem to violate this policy on the weekends, and 3) please, fingers crossed, fix the steam room in a sustainable way; it's one of your best features! Great work with the locker rental reinforcement, and updated boxing equipment in the room off the track! Finally, I find all YMCA staff, especially floor staff, to be very welcoming and helpful.
