My son enjoyed being outside and doing activities in nature. He really liked kayaking and would have liked to have done some paddle-boarding but was prohibited given his age.
This camp delivers. My son comes home each day tired and always has fun . They combine fun learning experiences while keeping them fully engaged. It’s amazing
The Y provides a variety of classes taught by skilled instructors. The Y is well equipped and well maintained.

2 pools!
However you ( Y management ) need to open pools on time.
6:15 (class) means OPEN at 6:15 at LATEST.
The (4 lane) pool should be open at latest 6:10.
Lifeguard should not arrive at 6:15 (or later), test water, remove cleaning equipment, read phone, and so forth.
Our daughter absolutely loves Ms. Gabby, Ms. Mary, and Ms. Yasmin. She comes home reenacting them during play. All the staff has been so friendly, loving, caring, super informative and detailed with all of our things. We couldn’t have asked for a better first time experience for camp. We are looking forward to the last couple of weeks.
It is a great experience. Coming from new adventures, we find new discoveries to be an even better program.The kids are really loving it and Joelle is the absolute best!

From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care, joy, and intention go into everything they do. The counselors made him feel welcomed, celebrated, and safe every single day — even surprising him with a crown and making his birthday feel so special!
They created an environment where he could shine, make new friends, and truly feel at home. I especially appreciated the communication, the activities, and the way the staff went above and beyond to include him and make him feel seen.

Staff are cordial and competent; the equipment is in fine shape. the place is always clean. i appreciate that there is no loud music (except in the weight room) and that people are asked not to use their cell phones (a request which they *usually* adhere to).
the price for seniors is very reasonable.
New Discoveries is a wonderful summer experience for kids to learn, grow and connect with other children they may not go to school with. My daughters went now my grandson is going. It’s is a blessings. The staff are so welcoming and supportive of the kids. A great experience for all.

Overall love it!! My son is really enjoying it. So many different activities; well organized and transparent. All of the staff members are extremely friendly. Appreciate the diversity of the families and staff members too.
Unlike many other activities my kids participate in, every day they come home I hear nothing but praise about their camp experience. They always say they had fun, that they like their counselors, and most importantly they come home tired after a day outdoor play. The only critique I have is it would be great to request and have siblings/friends in the same group. I know this can be difficult and maybe there is a way to request this that I missed - it's NOT a big deal. Just some honest feedback. Thank you to everyone involved with making this camp a great experience!

My children had their first experience at Camp at the Lake this year, and they completely fell in love with it. All three, from 5 to 10 years old, are having the time of their lives. I truly appreciate that it offers an authentic outdoor camp experience, filled with nature, swimming, fishing, new friends, and wonderful new adventures.
They'll definitely be back next year!
I like the different themes for each week. The games and the challenges, the art and crafts, the science, the instructors, the decorations, etc. My daughter came home with something new to show us every day. She loved every minute of it. I am sure she will remember this wonderful experience in the years to come.
