Adela and her staff are all wonderful. My son has food allergies and Asthma, and Adela ensured my child had his emergency medications in the school, and communicated my son's needs with the school nurse. I completely trust your staff will care for my son appropriately in before care, and appreciate everything they do. My son even asked if he could enroll in after care because he heard the students have so much fun with different activities. We do not need the services at this time, but if needed, we would not hesitate to have him enrolled in the program. Thank you for everything!

The staff are kind and take up time with the kids. They play with and engage with them by hosting soccer matches, playing board games with the kids, doing crafts with the kids, and helping them with their homework. Ms. Heather and Mr, Parker are great supervisors and I feel confident that they will keep my son safe while he is there. When I go to pick up my son after school, he often wants to stay because he’s having so much fun.

The after school (as well as before school care) child care program has been an absolute lifesaver! Miss Heather and her staff are dedicated, supportive and reliable. As a working parent who also commutes, I am relieved to have this option and to have had this experience with the After School Program. I receive calls or conversations if the staff is concerned or my child was injured during play and I always see them being attentive and alert when I am there for pick up. The children get homework help and lots of play time including lots of outdoor play if the weather permits. Even with 90+ children in one room it is never chaotic and there is a level of order and discipline expected and instilled in them. I have witnessed conflict resolution and lots of care from the staff and wish I could take them with us when my child goes to middle school.

I love the organized fun of it all. The program managers in our school- Ms. Heather and Mr. Parker- have huge hearts and fair practices that benefit all children. I trust them. They have a team of kind adults who play with and guide my child as he plays and navigates relationships. It’s just right for us! Thank you, team!
Ms Heather Mr Parker Ms Mallorie and the entire staff at CHB before and after care are excellent. They really get to know the kids and are so enthusiastic. My boys don’t want to leave! I share with all new families how wonderful Ms Heather is and how grateful I am for the program that she oversees. As a parent who has to rush from an office to school pick up it makes me feel much better knowing that my boys are happy and safe with Ms Heather and her team.

At the Y, Montclair's famed racial diversity is a reality. What's more, all ages, body types, and degrees of ability are accepted. There are very physically fit athletes in the pool, but also people who are using walkers when they get out.
