My experience thus far has been good. The staff is very helpful and polite. I did not realize the facility was as large as it is. I like the fact that no one is hovering over you and you can work at your own pace.

Apologies but from stories I hear (no direct evidence )
women's locker room has more privacy and individual dressing space.
Men's locker crowded - more lockers than space to get dressed.
Space is at a premium.
Also make more 6:15/ 8:00 AM aquacise classes.
Have it all days of week (increase from MWF to MTWThF)) and/or add additional later classes.
Its an nice after school program where the kids get to participate in many activities.
The camarade of the people in my classes, the availability of the varity of the classes, not to forget the wonderful instructors.
Love that it all takes place at school so the transition to after care is easy for parents and kids. All the after care helpers are very nice. We appreciate them.
The activities are quite varied. There are interesting art projects and lots of sports activities. The counselors are very interactive and great with the kids.
The after care staff are very good and caring to the kids.
Really love the counselors, the enrichment, and the program at Forest Ave Elementary in Verona.

Well I only.go to the small pool. I love the classes, and the teacher is great. There are other activities Ive participated in previously and they are all great. It's a beautiful community of people to be around most of the time.
The facility itself is clean, comfortable, upgraded often. It's a great place to be a part of.
I only wish I could get there more often. I have paid for months and never had any consideration for paying consistently, even when I couldn't come. I wish I could get a percentage of the months I missed. (lol)

My kid actually doesn't want to leave when we pick him up. He really enjoys playing with the kids from other grades.

My kids both love after care. The counselors are great and take the time to really get to know my kids. They don't want to leave.
The program is wonderful and I love the fact that on half days my child will be taken care of.
I love, the hours that it is open, I love how may different things to do are offered, the childcare, the staff, and how it is centrally located.
My family depends on aftercare, with two working parents, and our kids genuinely enjoy it. We appreciate that they balance homework time with free play time and have found the people very pleasant.
I do wish there was a better sign-up/notification process. If we miss signup on the first day we have been waitlisted for months. I would appreciate notification of dates for member families and/or prioritization for returning families —or increased capacity would be nice too.

This is my first to use the YMCA-Montclair services for before care for my son. I have only done drop off once, because my husband does the drop off, but the staff is so welcoming and friendly. Even if it is early, my son doesn't complain about going there so early, and even wanted me to enroll him in after care services because he heard his friends have so much fun in their program. The staff is so accommodating that it makes me feel at ease that my son is in their care while my husband and I are off to work. Thank you to all staff for their patience, dedication and care that they provide in our place. I highly recommend this to all parents just to make their daily lives a little less stressful, and the comfort of knowing that their child is in a safe space, and is excited to be there before the school day starts or even after a long day of school! THANK YOU! WE APPRECIATE YOU!!
