Member Testimonials
Love the Y! The pool is a dream, and my whole family has loved our membership!
The variety of equipment and facilities for various activities is very good.
One piece of negative feedback: there is a nasty smell near the showers in the men’s locker room. Especially between the showers and the door to the pools. I have heard multiple members comment on it. Please address.
The Park Street YMCA offers a variety of strength training machines and cardio machines. In addition, there's enough equipment that there's no wait time. Everything is well maintained and clean. While I don't often take advantage there's a wide variety of classes for all kinds of interests and levels. I've taken some of these classes and they're always well worth it. Finally, the staff at the Y is the best! Thank you!
Safety around water is the best program and resource for the community. My daughter learned so many important skills to keep her safe in and near the pool.
Friendly, helpful staff. Many programs.
Great
All
Great facility! Every type of exercise mode you could want. 2 pools. Great classes all included in membership. Good hours. Nothing wanting!
I love that there are plenty of open opportunities to swim and do laps in the big pool. people are friendly, there are no hostile members. When you start a new group class, everybody is very helpful and they guide you how to do the series
Todo!
It’s clean and is usually not too crowded when I go.
I really like very much this facility I will recommend it
I like the selection of classes and the friendly members
I am very grateful for the opportunity to have my kids participate to the Safety Around Water program, which was a big success.
Over the course of the week, they made tremendous progress, especially my 10 year old daughter who went from being afraid of the deep end to completely conquering her fear in just 3 days.
They both loved the swimming classes and we would do it again in a heartbeat.
I love the YMCA I don’t attend enough because my husband and I although we are retired we’ve been so busy doing stuff around the house and with friends, but we love the Ymca and I plan to take more advantage of our membership
Great Community, clean
Life Guards should be more alert
When closed for cleaning week before Labor Day, clean the fans in the small pool area. Have never been cleaned. Constant dust looks like it will fall onto towels and bags on bench below.
Enjoy the senior coffee hour but would like basic supplies (coffee, tea, snack bars, fruit, half and half) to be stocked by 9 am on the coffee hour days. It would be nice to be able to use the room between classes on other days.
Thank you for your care throughout the year.
I'm a fan of the diversity - in both the membership and in the available activities.
I hope to try pickleball sometime, but I'm not sure how to start.
the welcoming staff at the entrance is always excellent.
I really think the entrance needs to be on Park. Right now the basement entrance: encourages people to drive, symbolically turns the organziation away from the community, and does not emphasize the architectural character of the building which is one of the town's historically significant buildings
Variety of group activities offered.
Class variety
My son's really enjoyed the swimming class
I like both the classes and the strength training. Trainers can evaluate your needs and set up a routine for you to follow. They can help you progress as you gain strength and agility. Every staff member is helpful and attentive. And it is inexpensive for all that you get from the Y.
Sense of community, senior classes, and Rayshawn’s classes 😎
Their acceptance of my health care for fitness especially as a senior citizen. The pool and pool exercises. Pickleball! Just to name a few.
Everyone is very friendly. Instructors are knowledgeable and patient.
Easy access, the same reliable and convenient facilities, a great pool, nice people, all add up to a wonderful environment.
Clean facility, workout machines are functioning and in good condition.
extensive activities. Early hours
I think the Y is a great equalizer. It doesn’t matter your income or body shape, the majority of members are there to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Several of the instructors are great.

Great Feldencrais class, and exercise classes.
Please, start a Rock Steady Boxing class for people with Parkinsons Disease!
