I am not ready to buy anything yet, but I did rent a Verve 3 for the Bike the Bayshore ride last Sunday.
The service technician on duty seemed a little unsure of how to do the transaction, but he did manage to get a bike ready to go. I was able to coerce him to help me put it in my car because of the weight. He did so, but complained the entire time. I don't know his name, but he will be known to me as Mr. Grumpy Bear. (White hair, facial hair)
Upon returning the rental to the store, I was greeted by Bob and he was very polite and cordial.
I compared the service to the Kearny Mesa Trek story and the Encinitas store won hands down.

Took my Emonda in for a Level II tune up and it had a big rattle going on. Got it back and it looks and rides like new, great work. Apparently my cassette had loosened and that was making noise All good now!
