I recently took my 16-year old, high-mileage Trek Madone in for an inspection and tuneup. The inspection found some delamination issues in the front fork dropouts that could have had catastrophic consequences. Greg and Bob in service were very helpful in the identifying issues and discussing options - ultimately that it was time to retire the bike considering its age and mileage. I have had service done on the two Treks I've had since 2000 by the Encinitas and Solana Beach stores several times over the past 2 decades, including warranty repairs, and have always been very satisfied with the service. I've recommended the Encinitas store to others for service.

Great service with professional staff
I continue to receive excellent service when I go to Trek so I'm happy to fill out another survey. I went in for a helmet exchange and asked Jake to take a quick look at a few things on my bike. I wanted my brakes checked and to ask for help on some shifting concerns. Jake helped me with some badly needed new brake pads and did a little tuning to my shifting. My two rides this week were SO much better! Thank you!

Grant and Team once again shined brightly. I took advantage of a great sale on a mountain bike, and Grant fully stood by me as I cautiously walked through the validation steps in spending the bucks. Wow, I'm so glad I did. These new bikes are MACHINES, baby!!!

What stood out most is that they weren’t just trying to sell me more things — they took the time to truly listen, understand my needs, and walk me through the how and why behind their recommendations.
They explained everything in a way that made sense, making sure I felt comfortable and confident rather than overwhelmed or pressured. That kind of honesty and care is rare, and it made the whole experience feel personal rather than transactional.

THIS PLACE IS THE BEST. My boyfriend and I walked in knowing (kind of) what we wanted but needed some guidance and boy did we choose the right place! Chris greeted us the second we walked in and started to dive into what we were looking for to ensure the right bikes for us. He was so knowledgeable and patient as we had a ton of questions. After picking our bikes we took them for a test ride and were sold. These guys even talked with us about security and maintenance for the bike. After riding it a couple of times, I realized a larger frame would be a better for my body shape. With the 30 day guarantee they were able to exchange my bike for a larger frame no problem. Jordan, Chris and Daniel assisted with this. This team seriously cares that you have your forever bike. I am LOVING my FX 2. I would highly recommend the brand TREK but even more so the TREK in Kearny Mesa. THANK YOU!

Hopefully, the service department is able to fully staff employees soon to help with lengthy service turnaround times. Although I did get my bicycle serviced at another Trek location already, I genuinely appreciate the help with researching a matter completely unrelated to the first encounter! I'll be dropping by soon to purchase a new accessory.

Wes was excellent to work with! We live in Michigan and ordered bikes to keep in our “second home” in Fall City. He had them built and ready for us when we arrived. Great service!
