Reduced chemicals from other carpet cleaners
This was my first time hiring Zerorez to clean my carpets. I would recommend my technician, Paul Lahowetz, to my family and friends. He listened to my concerns did a great job cleaning out carpets!!! I was, however, very disappointed in the customer service I received over the phone. I called Zerorez to find out what it would cost me to have my basement and stairs cleaned. I wanted the price after taxes and fees so I could compare quotes I had gotten from other companies. I was quoted the price of 143.00 for 675 square feet. (My basement is approximately 510 sq ft. plus 14 stairs). I asked if there were any additional fees and I was told no. I set up my appointment for the next morning under the assumption this was the TOTAL cost for a basic clean. I know that the technician may recommend more products, but I simply wanted to know what the basic cost without any additions would be. I called back a little while later to verify the cost I was quoted included tax, and again asked if there were any additional fees. The lady I spoke to (who I was told is named Lisa, the manager) said that she couldn't tell me the tax because she was in Minnesota. I had called a local number and was disappointed to be told I was not talking to someone local. She told me that the only tax would be the standard local tax (7%) and told me the cost would be 153.00 after tax. I was told I would receive an email from Zerorez that would have additional information that I needed to look at prior to having my carpets cleaned. I received this email at 11 pm. (Too late to do anything that was recommended-luckily I had already vacuumed the carpet). In the email is stated there was an additional water disposal fee of 14.00. I called the next morning (the morning of my appointment) to ask why I had not been told about the disposal fee when I had asked multiple times if there were any fees. I was told my the lady I talked with that I had spoken with Lisa, the manager, the previous day and that she would get Lisa to answer my question. Lisa never came to the phone. The lady who answered came back a few minutes later and told me that Lisa had said she would pull the call from the previous day to see if the fee had been talked about or not and that they would call me back to let me know. First of all, I never got a call back. Second of all, I was thoroughly unimpressed that the manager wouldn't get on the phone to answer my question. Third, I felt insulted that I was told that they were "going to pull the call" and listen to it-as if I'm a liar. All I wanted to know was if the fee mentioned in the email was included in the price quoted me, and instead I was blown off. When Paul arrived and I asked him about the fee, he informed me that Lisa had told him that I was going to probably cancel my appointment because I was upset. That told me right there that Lisa had no intentions of answering my question about the price and that I was blown off. Paul was very apologetic about Lisa's actions. When Paul showed me the price for the basic cleaning including all taxes and fees it was in fact 153.00. All Lisa had to do was get on the phone that morning and say to me "That fee is included in the price I gave you yesterday." and I would have been a happy camper! Instead, she refused to talk to me, stated she would call me back, and then handled the situation by hoping I would just cancel. Because of my experience with Lisa I have serious doubts if I would use Zerorez again. I would love to hire Paul again because I was very impressed by his professionalism, his patience and his understanding. My carpets look great and I am so thankful to have my flooded basement back to brand new. The price of Zerorez was hands down better than other places I called. Paul is a great representation of what a business should be. Lisa, on the other hand, is someone I would prefer not to do business with again.
Mildew smell completely gone. Many stains including ink removed. They did a complete job. This is not the quick spray and suck up cleaning you are used to.
The Technician Chris Tamez was very professional and pleasant. He was very knowledgeable with the products and the company for which he works for. He did a great job and I would recommend him to other people. We are very happy how the carpets turned out.

The cleaning removed a strong animal odor from the carpet in our rental property. The technician was polite and courteous, and made sure I was satisfied.
It got a most of our pet stains out. It left our carpet a little crispy when it dried but after going over with the vacuum it went back.
