What did you like most about your salon experience?

I have been a client for 18 yrs and although I live in the mountains now, the drive down is worth it. Emily is the absolute BEST !!! I can’t go anywhere else bc no one compares to her level of skill, knowledge, and techniques. The atmosphere is full of positivity and love. I’m very gratefully for these women!

How did we disappoint you and what can we do to make things right?

I booked an appointment because this salon is associated with Aveda. I only ever hear good things about Aveda. It’s very clear this salon only cares about quantity and not quality. This salon only cares about ensuring their schedule looks booked vs actually giving good quality service.

I went in to cut a good amount of my hair off. The hairstylist cut it straight, gave it zero character and it looks botched. I cut 7 inches off my hair and every time I have gotten my hair cut from any stylist, they always suggest cutting it in a V shape so it doesn’t look like a 1 year old cut it, without me mentioning anything. It looks like my hair was cut by my toddler.

I asked for curtain bangs and she botched the curtain bangs so badly, I have to constantly pin them back.
Again, no natural flow!

I have the ugliest haircut I have ever had in my 30 years of living.

I most definitely will not be going back. Not that it matters to this salon because I am one customer out of many. Losing my business doesn’t mean anything but this salon really needs to focus on quality vs quantity. You’ll continue to stay in business by giving good haircuts and creating your regular customers.

Just because someone has 20 years of experience doesn’t mean they are good either. Some hairstylist stay complacent and refuse to grow in their career, something to keep in mind when you are hiring new stylist

My first visit, and I found that A Salon is a lovely place to relax and have my cut and color. I enjoyed Nanci's excellence in styling my hair, and I felt totally comfortable. It was just great!

I like that they greet you and offer you water or tea while you wait for your salon specialist to call you back. It is always very clean.
Stephanie is very good and makes you feel great. Very pleasant and lets you know about new products coming up and is just wonderful talking with her.

Ambiance and service.

However, I was passed over for free hand massage while having hair washed even though person next to me had two individuals massaging each of her hands. Wondering why I didn't qualify for the same service.

I was a bit tardy for my appointment, so wondering if I was being punished.

What did you like most about your salon experience?

Austin listens! He's also very thorough. Sometimes though, when he uses a straight razer on my neck, the pressure is a little high. Last time I was bleeding when I left and had scabs on my neck for a couple of days. Other than that, he does a great job :)
