My five year old loves it. She has never had a bad day at camp and is always so excited to go. Today when we picked her up she was crying - because she only has a couple days left of camp.
Convenient location, good group classes
I love how engaged the instructors are with the kids. I know they can be met with a lot of resistance from the littler kids, and most of the instructors I've interacted with go with it and have great strategies for engaging the kids.
I enjoyed that this camp was outside and took advantage of the opportunities at Forest River.

I like that the program and activities keeps my daughter content and leaves her wanting to go back the next day for some more fun. Also, the staff are great with our young ones and it makes the place even better!

The Y is a wonderful place to meet people. I rated it a 9 because containers that would help organize things around the pool area that have been asked for but so far haven’t materialize. I’m not sure why this hasn’t happened. It would make the area around the pool so much safer. I feel like the older members of the Y family are overlooked.
I have seen an improvement in the younger greeters at the front dest which is so important to make the Salem a friendlier place.

I love that the kids have swim class and movement. We have been at the Y since my daughter was 4.5 months and her teachers have been so caring and great with her. I also truly appreciated the partnership with her teachers as we worked through diagnosing various food allergies and implementing a safety plan. We love the Y!
I love how nurturing and accepting everyone is from the Councelor’s to the campers. I love how accommodating the program is for my camper. Awesome job ymca

Salem Y has a quiet, calming spin room located in the rear of the building. The Salem employees are helpful and pleasant. The clients are easy going . I am always greeted with a smile when I swipe in for my class.
