I love the news letters and knowing what activities the kids are doing. I love that it’s in Forrest river and that the kids have access to water activities! My daughter looks forward every week to the new themes!
My son Quinlan loves going to camp! The counsellors and the Director Jeremy are great with communication with the parents and make the overall experience really fun.
My son raves about the archery, swimming pool and gaga ball pit. When he gets home at night, he is tired and dirty which is what every mom wants as it’s a sign that their child is enjoying the great outdoors!
He has made lasting friendships. He goes to school outside of Salem and I’m so happy he has friends in the same city where he lives!
Water aerobic classes and latest addition aqua Zumba! These classes have great instructors, great participants and you get great results from participating. Fun, engaging, energizing and refreshing exercise experience in cool waters of the pool. Music, dance, exercise all in water who could ask for more.
Please please bring back the chest fly/ pec deck machine!

As I've said before, I like the smallness of the Y. I only come to swim and I never have to share a lane. The Y is super clean and I feel safe there.
I've only been to the pool thus far, but that's why we joined. The pool is clean and well-staffed. I've been a Y member wherever we've lived, most recently Lowell, MA and before that Chicago, IL. The Y serves the community of Salem and provides activities for all age-groups and income levels.
The only negative (IMO) is the fee structure - I don't understand why a young adult membership is less than a senior adult membership (on a fixed income). I have to believe you know what you're doing though.

I don't know. All I know is my kid likes it and seems to have fun.
My daughter says every day that she had a great day. She loves the councilors and they do a great job of keeping the kids busy and happy.

I like that the kids' days are full of activity and fun but it doesn't sound like they have to participate in anything they're not into. They love their counselors and also seem to get a lot of free play with the other kids.
Salem pool deck needs regrouting
