I like that my son can be hands on, with arts n crafts, building with legos, he stays busy and he loves going to after school.

Great yoga offerings (we still need Monday and Friday morning classes). Great staff—friendly and knowledgeable. The Mind Body Studio is quite nice. We need better quality blocks; the ones we have are dangerous.

I have been asking the YMCA of the North Shore to update the locker room facilities for 10 years--and you've done it! Thank you!!! The locker rooms are clean; the floors and showers no longer smell; the steam room is clean and functional. I'm overjoyed! We have maintained our Y membership after we moved to Lifetime for the past few years because we believe in the Y and and we are now seriously considering dropping Lifetime to only use the Salem YMCA.
I have one more request for the Salem location and it has to do with the gym equipment. Right now you only have two power racks/squat racks and one Smith machine. The rack is the most important piece of equipment in any gym and it's always busy at Salem. The average person needs 20m on the machine to complete their workout so it's rare there is an opening. In order for my family to fully move to Salem YMCA, there needs to be more power racks. I would suggest no fewer than five. I propose removing the smith machine, and moving the hand weights to another part of the gym in order to make room for the additional racks all along the wall. They don't need to be new and fancy machines! Maybe another Y is getting rid of theirs?

I have recently rejoined the Y after many years. Many great improvements have been made to the facilities and the programming.

I’ve had trouble committing to exercising in the past because I can be self conscious and get gym anxiety, but every one at the Y has been super nice and helpful I’ve felt comfortable working out since being here.
The Y is great. It has everything ;needed. Group Classes, small personal training, great trainers. You also have a choice of numerous clubs.
Toilet seats are loose again in the men's locker room.
great community center for health and humanity. Terrific employees and nicely updating facilities. Also, love the fact i can attend a Y in other states while traveling.
Great sense of community here. Although the Gym area is a bit smaller than Beverly and Cape Ann, the Salem Y makes a great use of space. A cool, diverse group of people congregate here to exercise which is always great to see. The staff seems very attentive too, which is great. Very clean.
I take part in aqua robotics. It is one of the best classes the y offers. I am especially thankful for Pauline. She needs a very diverse group of people in an especially even way. I know some complain about music, talking even the intensity of the workout. But she pulls it off wonderfully, always with a smile. Talking about is fine..it is also a social gathering for some elderly with no other social connections. This is important for the health and well being of all. Pauline is a gem and I fear the day she retires, as she can't be replaced easily.

Great programs, wonderful and kind instructors. The pool is large and open. Everything is clean and well maintained. The income sliding scale is great and helped me quite a bit. I really love my local Y.

Now for the down side and I have heard very youbg children being yelled at both in lobby and outside. Heard an employee I have never seen before repeating to really young ones to walk faster. I hope staff at tge desk report these issues. Being yelled at can traumatize children.

The most incredible summer camp "Creative Arts", my child loved going there every single day and has extremely positive experience compared to some other programs that were way to intense! The counselors and the managements were absolutely incredible, flexible and understanding, they took a great care of my child and every day was worry free for me as a parent and I truly appreciate you all! We will be coming back next year! Thank you all for all your hard work, for positive attitude, for exceptional care and for making this summer extremely pleasant!
