There is no other place like it.
Fabulous facility, positive, knowledgeable and engaging staff.
The Y offers so many activities! Great way to meet new people too.
affordable, new facility, good variety, qualified instructors
I may be biased, but I think it's great!
Because it’s local and brand new. However I find your website and sign up process for classes very confusing. There’s got to be a better way than having to set your alarm on your watch to sign up 24 hours before the class or you either don’t get in or you get on a waiting list. How about adding more classes, such as Pilate reformer classes.
What a wonderful Y—very welcoming to all!
Variety of classes and clean environment
The facility is beautiful, well maintained, and the staff are great!
Friendly staff and beautiful clean facility.
Need to have more exercise classes to reduce waitlisting and class size as well as adding classes like tai chi and simple calisthenics for older men. More window shades also needed in upstairs gym area.
It is clean, comfortable, nearby and well run. So far it has not been crowded.
Lots of programs/classes to choose from.
Many options, but classed are very crowded and some difficult to sign up for
from Chuck at the welcome area to everyone at the fitness desk everyone is friendly and always helpful, the place is spotless including restrooms.
Well equipped and clean facility with a wide assortment of exercise alternatives.
Fun, no pressure, and tons of options. Great facility
Really enjoy the various classes and early start time
Great programs with awesome instructors!
Clean well working facility which is usually not over-crowded!
The variety of classes offered and amazing staff.
Great classes that have helped me get stronger and in better shape.
Terrific new building and facilities
More classes taught by Anna the Barre teacher!!
Lots of classes and fabulous instructors.
It is a terrific facility. Good people! I am so grateful that this place is here!
Great classes, great instructors, friendly staff, clean facility, true sense of community and so much fun
New, fresh, clean, well-ventilated.
I wish you had a Smith machine. The new extra squat rack is good, but a Smith is better for beginners and individuals with physical limitations. The Smith is pretty safe as well. It’s the one piece of gear you had at the old place that I miss.
Pretty please, with sugar on top, add a few more of the adjustable incline benches. There are only three (3) and this gear is the single biggest bottleneck in the gym. People are always waiting to use a bench, especially in the late afternoons.
The gym is well cleaned. The janitors do a great job. I try to thank them often. But I’m starting to see some signs of wear and tear on the equipment - handles that are worn and now have a poor grip, benches with tears in the upholstery, etc. - and I hope to see the Y keep the equipment in a like-new condition. Maintenance and reinvestment are really important. I try to report the little issues when I notice them. I want the gym to stay like new. The old place was a snake pit and not very inspiring.
Great facilities. Great staff.
Great facility and great classes

Having seen the Cape Ann Y ebb and flow over the last 10 years, it is encouraging to see the direction they're headed. Thank you to the fitness leadership staff and to the membership leadership staff for working so hard! We see your hard work as a community. For the sports, youth, camp, and family programs, continue to develop your consistent programming and leadership and it'll be exciting to see you flourish too!
