The teachers and leadership are so wonderful! They communicate regularly and consistently which offers great piece of mind as we transitioned our 11 month old into daycare for the first time. They know how good it makes us feel to see photos and videos of our kiddo happy and healthy with friends and learning new things throughout the day. And we can feel the deep care they take to create a culture where everyone is welcome!

I have been a member since the last several years of the Y being in downtown Gloucester. The new Y is a big physical improvement, without losing the friendly help and community-wanted offerings it always had.
I find water exercise very helpful. The pool having steps to get in & out, having lots of available "open swim" times as well as aqua fitness classes, and a well outfitted locker room make water exercise more possible for me.
In recent years, I have attended yoga classes. I am able to continue the practicing at home when I cannot get to the Y. This has also improved my health. Jasmine, Kirsty, Wyndee, and Cookie have taught me a lot. I hope I can continue to learn from them in the future.
It's easier to get to the Y from Rockport (I don't drive) since CATA added the "2A" or additional business loop bus that does a smaller Gloucester loop. It times well with the Eastern Ave bus to & from Rockport. It streamlines getting from Rockport to & from the Y without a car.
