IRL I recommend Pilates at the Gloucester Y to everyone I know. I have worked with Erika now for a couple of years and I feel like my body has transformed. I have muscles now that I never had even when I was younger. Erika great at calling, making it easy to just follow along and flow through the routine. But she is also very knowledgeable about the human body and always takes the time to teach us what’s happening in our body and how we can improve our form to get the most out of the workout. She clearly puts a lot of thought and preparation into her classes and also her private session work. I’ve done some privates with her and they are so valuable to me! I take what I learn in those and really carry it with me in all my other workouts. Anyway that’s a lot but 10/10 would recommend and do often.
p.s. The other teachers are lovely also! Can’t go wrong!

It’s an excellent facility with numerous activities to take part in. I personally mainly use the gym facilities as there are a number of excellent exercise machines. Also, the staff members are very cordial and helpful if needed.

The Staff are friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. The Cape Ann Y offers great classes (e.g. hot yoga) and activities (e.g. pickleball). Finally their investment in the EGYM system was a brilliant addition to all that the Y offers

I was there when Joe Anderson came in at 5:30 AM on his birthday and it was announced and everyone wishes him a happy birthday while he was there.

Many years ago I did the Nautilus circuit at the old Y on Middle Street. I wanted to retest that experience.
I love the variety of classes, the instructors are great! I have done aqua classes, yoga, and TRX and have had positive experiences with them all. I also really like the eGYM. It makes strength training very convenient. I like tracking progress online as well as booking classes online.
The staff are all very helpful and pleasant. The instructors are knowledgeable, helpful, and very kind humans. The classes and teachers are amazing!
The only feedback for change would be the noise level in the mind body studio. Sometimes sound from the downstairs group exercise room or the spin room comes through quite loudly and it can be quite distracting from the otherwise peaceful and serene yoga studio.

The staff is amazing!
After a long day of school they get to unwind and play and be creative with crafts at the after school program where the staff is super observant and helpful and also have fun with the kids!
