decent price, great employees, nice store
First impression - staff member was not warm and inviting to the store. When asked about discount on accessories if I purchase a $2000 bike, only deal he was sticking to was I had to buy 5 items in order to receive 10% off. I felt agent was a bit snappy after I stated that bike shop next door gives 10% regardless of purchasing one accessory or more.
So first impression is I didn’t feel like buying a bike there because I felt this staff member did not give me incentive to do so.
I took my bike in for a grinding sound and the pedal not cranking properly. ~$90 later the pedal cranked but the sound was still there. I brought it in again and they tried other things that didn’t fix the problem at all and I was charged another $80 and told the back brake couldn’t be fixed so essentially I’ll have to throw the bike out after 3 years. Had I known I wouldn’t have dumped another $80+ into the bike. Generally I have good experiences with you guys but for this fix it hasn’t been great, plus you sold me this crappy bike to begin with - a truly awful brand that won’t last even a quarter as long as my previous bike. Overall I appreciate having a neighborhood bike mechanic and you’ve done little things for free for me like pulling the wheel back when the chain falls off and I appreciate that too. I just wish I’d put the $170 towards a new bike but money comes and money goes as the Russians say.
Knowledgeable. Wide variety of gear for various styles and disciplines. If you don't have it you can still probably get it. Helpful, friendly.

(⭐1/5 stars) Disorganized click-and-collect and poor service.I placed an online order for a small part and waited 24 hours for a pickup confirmation. When I arrived, the initial staff member had to huddle with two or three others just to figure out how to process a basic pickup. While they were courteous, they were clearly exhausted and untrained on the system.Trying to maximize my visit, I asked for the price and availability of headset bearings for the road bike I had right there with me. I was brushed off and sent to the service desk, where I was told, "That's not enough information."When a second staff member went to the back, they brought out two complete headsets and began disassembling them just to figure out what I needed. For reference, modern road bikes almost universally use standard sizes (like an IS41 upper or IS52 lower). It shouldn't take four different employees to handle a basic bearing inquiry. To make matters worse, another staff member emerged from the back and defensively asked, "What's going on today?"—which felt entirely like a rude "What's your problem?" By the time my original online order was finally found, I was so frustrated that I took my paper bag and left without the bearings. I won't frequent a store that treats paying customers so curtly. Nothing you can do, you simply lost a customer and an opportunity at Cross-selling. "Cross-selling is a sales technique where a business encourages a customer to buy related or complementary products or services in addition to their main purchase".

We get all of our bike related stuff at Sweet Pete's. Amazing quality and service and I trust them when we need advice. They know bikes and want their customers to get the best products.
We have shopped there for many years including when our children were much younger and have never been steered wrong!!

Sweet Pete’s is a place for all ages, which is one thing among many that’s so great about it. We bought our bikes there when we moved to the neighbourhood 30 years ago, and bikes for our kids. We always went there for their super-friendly bike maintenance, or when we needed to have a rescue repair. Then when our kids became adults, and started having their own kids, our grandkids got their bikes there. Everybody can get around.
Now that I’m old, the arthritis that’s a pattern in my family has got to my knees. Walking is painful, but biking still feels fine. My bike has turned into a mobility device that’s a lot better than a wheelchair. I rely on it to get around the neighbourhood – including riding over to Sweet Pete’s and saying – can you help me figure out why it’s getting harder for me to pedal? Is it because I’m getting too close to 80? But no, it turns out to be a broken spoke that I didn’t notice.
Two days ago I got the whole bike overhauled, new chain, new wheel, new gears, brakes fixed, the works. It seemed like it was time, but I had no idea how good it would feel, afterwards, to ride like I’m temporarily 42 again. A bike that’s put back in really good shape can knock decades off your age. And when I come into the store to ask for easier grips on my handlebars, the guy devises an ingenious way to adapt a standard item to an old lady’s hands. Meantime I get to sit (they give me a stool while I wait) and listen to the young racers who are there for advice on the best oil for lift-off. A perfect place.
Great customer service
The service department at Sweet Pete's went above and beyond (as usual) and they are always so helpful. I needed a new derailleur hanger as part of my maintainence and instead of ordring directly from Canyon, where there was a $50 shipping fee, the service team scoured the internet and found the part for much cheaper. Service is always top notch and everyone is always so helpful

When I bought the bike, the air pressure wasn't right, the brakes started squeaking, and the chain was grinding on my very first ride.
I brought it back for servicing (the six week) and it was handled well, but again the brakes started squeaking. I wonder if the pads should have been changed? But the rest was fixed! I was happy with the technician. No upsell, just wanted to make sure I was happy.

Excellent service on the internet order. There was a stock issue, but they called right away and worked with me to get an alternative. Very polite and courteous service.
i cannot afford regular priced cycling apparel and bike things so i love it when there's a clearout sale and i'm able to get some heavily discounted items to add to my ever-growing collection of bike gear. i also appreciate the service at sweet pete's; everyone was friendly and welcoming.
