Felt to me like the guy who helped me couldn't get me out of there fast enough. Was slow to acknowledge me, didn't greet me at all, and even after I mentioned that I just got my first bike and need to get it up to working order just kind of grunted at me, checked me out as quickly as possible, and turned around and walked back into the other room. I cannot imagine a less friendly experience in a store.
The only reason I gave the review a 3 was because the selection looked nice and the store looked well kept.
I ordered a Trek Verve 2 from the Scheller's shop in Evansville on august 17th.
On saturday 24th I sent an email to know the delivery date. I saw a message from Marty Scheller forwarded to the shop on the 26th "Niles/Carter: please follow up".
On the same day I called the Evansville shop to know if they knew when the bike will be delivered. They told me "today, it will be prepared wednesday at the latest, we will call you".
Since I got no information, I called back on thursday.
Finally I got the bike on friday. Good point to the mechanic who help me to get the best set up for the seat +handlebar level.
That is the main reason I gave a score of 5, average, nothing special.
Regarding the bike, I knew more or less what I wanted, I just ask why the Verve 3 was little heavier than the 2 but could not get an answer but this is a rather minor point.
