I generally use the weight/machine area. There are enough that I can always find a machine to work on, even while waiting for others to open up. Members are generally good about wiping down the equipment.
HI there, first off.. I LOVE the Y, I go almost every day and really love everything about it.
A couple of things, people putting their belongings on the floor in the Cardio area is infuriating... I have tripped over someone's bag or shoes a number of times while trying to get to a treadmill. I think that because you have older/delayed clientele, this is a huge liability. The times I have asked the floor staff to check into, I have been met with reluctance. Please check into this. It's so dangerous to have people leaving items on the Cardio floor.
I think that's pretty much it. Other than that, I LOVE the Y. I have lost 50lbs and am in such better shape.
Everyone at the Y are very friendly. The classes are great also.

When I first came to apply for a membership I was impressed by the friendliest staff who took the time to give me a tour of the facility and they explained the process of my application to me. I was impressed with the facility itself. I am glad that I joined.

Friendly staff, up-to-date equipment, and the swimming pool
I love the Y. Have been going over 40 years. However, my main complaint is that the class participation rate is too large. Way too many people in some of the classes. Especially the rooms that tend to be smaller. The gym is a nice size and accommodates many. The other rooms are too small. Also, there should be some cross training. Sometimes, if an instructor is out on vacation or sick, classes have to be cancelled because there is no one to teach. Everfit is a prime example.
I love yoga and I love yen yoga. There should be an explanation as to what yen yoga is. The schedule only shows it as yoga. It is totally different than regular yoga. If people don't know what it is, they get up and leave once the class has started. That is disruptive to the instructor as well as other participants.
